The Baer Pro+ Front 5-Lug Big Brake Kit with 13-Inch Rotors and Red Calipers delivers exceptional stopping power by combining six-piston calipers with large 13-inch rotors. This kit is engineered for enthusiasts seeking enhanced braking performance and improved heat management, suitable for street performance and track driving.
Construction and Appearance. Calipers are CNC machined from forged or billet aluminum sourced within the United States, finished with a durable powder-coated red finish. The rotors feature a two-piece design with a zinc-plated, slotted, and drilled rotor mounted to a billet aluminum hat. Stainless steel pistons, abutments, and noise suppression clips enhance durability and minimize noise.
Installation. Installation requires spindle modifications for proper fitment, as this kit is designed specifically for vehicles equipped with 1987-1993 5-lug V8 spindles. The kit includes all necessary mounting brackets, stainless braided DOT-approved hoses, and hardware to facilitate installation, although mechanical knowledge and tools are recommended.
Application. Fits 1979-1993 Mustang models equipped with 1987-1993 5-lug V8 spindles only. Use on earlier spindles or setups outside this scope will require modifications and is not compatible without changes.
