High-Performance Rear Big Brake Kit. The Baer Pro+ Rear 4-Lug Big Brake Kit with 14-Inch Rotors; Grabber Blue Calipers is designed to provide superior stopping power for rear braking applications. It enhances braking performance and safety for late-model muscle cars, making it essential for track and street use where reliable rear brake force is required.
Construction and Appearance. The brake kit features 6-piston calipers machined from US-sourced forged or billet aluminum for strength and lightweight performance. The calipers are finished in a durable powder coat and include stainless steel pistons, abutments, noise suppression clips, and hardware for corrosion resistance. The rotors are two-piece, vented, zinc plated, with slotting and drilled holes to aid heat dissipation and reduce brake fade, complemented by billet aluminum hats for reduced unsprung weight.
Installation. The kit is designed for direct bolt-on installation with no drilling required. It fits specific rear axle setups and retains the parking brake function through its integrated backing plate and modern one-piece parking brake shoe, simplifying upgrade installation.
Warranty. This product comes with a manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 1979 to 1992 Ford Mustang models equipped with the original equipment Ford 8.8 inch C-clip rear end and a 4-lug axle configuration.
