Description
High-Performance Rear Brake Kit. The Baer Pro+ Rear 5-Lug Big Brake Kit with 13-Inch Rotors and Grabber Blue Calipers is engineered to provide superior stopping power for enhanced safety and performance. Designed for enthusiast-level braking upgrades, this system replaces the factory setup to meet the demands of spirited driving and track use. It delivers consistent, fade-resistant braking coupled with integrated parking brake functionality.
Construction and Appearance. This brake system features a 6-piston floating caliper CNC machined from US-sourced forged or billet aluminum, providing strength and reduced weight. The rotors are two-piece, vented, slotted, and drilled with a zinc plating to prevent corrosion. The calipers receive a durable powder-coated finish enhancing corrosion resistance and visual appeal, finished in a distinctive blue color.
Installation. Installation is moderately complex and designed as a direct bolt-on for OE Ford 8.8" c-clip rear end setups with 5-lug axles, eliminating the need for drilling. Replacement master cylinder upgrade is recommended for optimal performance but not mandatory to complete the installation.
Application. This brake kit fits 1979 through 1992 Mustangs equipped with the original equipment Ford 8.8 inch c-clip rear end and 5 lug axle configuration. It is compatible with most 17 inch or larger wheels, though wheel fitment should be verified prior to installation.
