Description
High-Performance Rear Brake System. The Baer SS4+ Rear 4-Lug Big Brake Kit with 13-Inch Rotors and Hugger Orange Calipers is engineered to deliver exceptional stopping power and enhanced braking performance for rear axle applications. This system enhances safety, control, and overall braking confidence for both performance driving and street use.
Construction and Appearance. The kit features CNC-machined calipers crafted from US-sourced forged or billet aluminum, finished with a durable powder coat. The rotors are vented, two-piece designs with zinc-plated, slotted, and drilled surfaces, paired with billet aluminum hats for reduced weight and improved heat dissipation. Hard anodized aluminum pistons and stainless steel hardware provide durability and corrosion resistance.
Installation. Designed as a direct bolt-on upgrade, installation requires no drilling and uses the vehicle’s existing OE mounting points. A master cylinder upgrade may be recommended for optimal brake system performance depending on the specific vehicle setup.
Application. This brake kit fits the 1993 Ford Mustang, excluding the Cobra model, equipped with the original Ford 8.8-inch C-clip rear end and a 4-lug axle configuration.
