Performance Control Arm. The BMR On-Car Adjustable DOM Rear Upper Control Arm for 9-Inch Housing in black hammertone enhances the rear suspension geometry of Mustangs equipped with 9-inch rearends, improving traction and handling. It replaces the soft, deflecting stock control arms, providing greater rigidity and consistent performance on the street, drag strip, or road course.
Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from heavy-duty 1 5/8 inch, 0.120-inch wall DOM steel tubing, it features a CNC-machined chrome-moly steel center adjuster with rolled threads for superior strength. The arm utilizes TIG-welded chrome-moly tube adapters and is finished with a durable black hammertone powdercoat for long-lasting corrosion resistance and visual appeal. High-durometer internally fluted polyurethane greasable bushings reduce deflection and improve NVH for a better driving experience.
Installation. Installation takes approximately 2 to 3 hours and requires no drilling, as this arm is a direct replacement for the factory upper control arms. Professional installation is recommended for proper adjustment and alignment to ensure optimal performance.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 2005-2010 Ford Mustangs equipped with 9-inch rearends. Upgrading the upper control arm mount to part number UCM001 is recommended to eliminate clunking noises commonly experienced with aftermarket upper arms on this platform.
