Performance Suspension Upgrade. The BMR On-Car Adjustable DOM Rear Upper Control Arm for 9-Inch Housing; Black Hammertone is designed to enhance the rear suspension of your Mustang by reducing flex and deflection in the stock control arm assembly. It allows for improved traction and handling by transferring power more efficiently to the tires, improving launch characteristics and cornering consistency, particularly for those with a 9-inch rear differential setup.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from heavy-duty 1 5/8 inch, 0.120-inch wall DOM steel tubing, this upper control arm incorporates a CNC-machined chrome-moly steel center adjuster with rolled threads and TIG-welded chrome-moly tube adapters to ensure maximum strength and durability. The bushings are high-durometer, internally fluted polyurethane, greasable for longevity and smooth, responsive operation. The control arm features a durable black hammertone powdercoat finish for resistance to wear and a professional look.
Installation. Installation of this upper control arm is moderate in difficulty and requires typical suspension tools. No drilling or vehicle modifications are needed. The process generally takes between two to three hours.
Application. Designed specifically for 2011-2014 Mustang models equipped with a 9-inch rear differential, this control arm does not support other rearend configurations or model years outside this range.
