Description
Functional Heat Extractor Hood. The Type-ZL1 Style Heat Extractor Hood; Unpainted is designed to efficiently ventilate engine heat with four functional extractor vents, enhancing engine cooling performance. It serves as a direct replacement for the standard factory hood, improving airflow and maintaining proper underhood temperatures for better vehicle performance.
Construction and Appearance. This hood is crafted from hand-laid high-quality fiberglass and resin, ensuring durability and lightweight strength. It features a smooth gel coat finish on both the top and underside to simplify preparation and painting. Aluminum wire mesh grill inserts are included where applicable, providing a refined appearance and added protection.
Installation. Installation is straightforward using the factory hinges and latch components, with no drilling required. However, careful dry fitting and finishing are necessary to achieve proper fitment and paint readiness.
Application. Designed specifically to fit 2010-2013 Camaro models, this hood does not fit factory original ZL1 variants and excludes those models from compatibility.
