Description
PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT HOOD. The Type-ZL1 Style Heat Extractor Hood in unpainted form is a functional upgrade designed to improve heat management under the hood. It features extractor vents that allow hot air to escape the engine bay, enhancing cooling efficiency and helping maintain optimal engine temperatures during spirited driving or track use.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Crafted from hand-laid, high-quality fiberglass and resin, this hood offers durable yet lightweight strength. Both the top surface and underside receive a gel coat finish to simplify paint preparation and provide a smooth, ready-to-finish surface. Aluminum wire mesh grill inserts are included in appropriate areas to maintain airflow while protecting the engine bay components.
INSTALLATION. Designed for straightforward installation utilizing the factory hinges and latch, this hood requires no drilling or modifications. However, dry fitting and hand-finishing for paint prep and fitment are necessary, so professional installation or experience with bodywork is recommended.
APPLICATION. Specifically engineered to fit 2019–2024 Camaro models, excluding the factory original ZL1 variant, ensuring compatibility with all designated vehicles within this model range.
