Description
ENHANCED ENGINE COOLING. The Type-ZL1 Style Heat Extractor Hood; Unpainted is a high-performance replacement designed to efficiently extract heat from the engine bay. By channeling hot air out through functional vents, it improves overall cooling and engine performance, making it an essential upgrade for high-output or track-driven cars.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Crafted from durable composite materials, this hood features a smooth gel coat finish on both the top and underside for simplified painting and finishing. It closely replicates the factory ZL1 design, including integrated heat extractor vents for authentic styling.
INSTALLATION. This hood installs using the existing factory hinges and striker for alignment. It requires careful fitting and hand-finishing during paint preparation to ensure proper fitment. Installation does not require drilling; however, it is not a simple bolt-on part and demands precision.
APPLICATION. Specifically designed to fit 2016-2018 Camaro model years, this hood offers a direct-fit replacement that replicates the factory ZL1 styling and cooling functionality.
