Description
High-Performance Carbon Fiber Hood. The Anderson Composites Type-AZ Hood; Carbon Fiber is designed to enhance the performance and appearance of the 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro. It replaces the factory hood with a lightweight, high-strength alternative that reduces overall weight and improves vehicle aerodynamics. This hood is ideal for enthusiasts seeking both style and functional weight savings in their Camaro.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted using a vacuum infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this hood features a marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors for a durable, high-gloss finish. The consistent weave pattern and optimized carbon/resin ratio provide excellent stiffness and strength. The design includes a classic L88 style with an aggressive power bulge and a removable, paintable mesh screen. A heat shield is pre-installed for additional protection.
Installation. Installation requires some minor adjustments for optimal fitment. The hood mounts with OE hardware, which is not included, and does not require drilling. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper alignment and care when handling composite materials.
Application. This hood fits the 2016 through 2024 Chevrolet Camaro LT, LT1, and SS trims. Hood pins are required for safe usage due to the composite construction.
