Installing this Centerforce Series II Complete Clutch Kit would be a great option for the 1981 to 1985 5.0L Mustang owners who want to transfer all that new found power to the rear wheels where it belongs. This Series II Clutch was can increase the holding capacity of your Mustang by up to 60%, all while maintaining light pedal effort.
Centerforce Series II Design. Centerforce's Series II Clutches feature a single high quality full friction facing disc made of premium organic/carbon materials. This design provide superb holding capacity and delivers a long life of use in your 5.0L Mustang. Not only that, but this Complete Kit comes with the necessary throwout bearing and pilot bearing for installation.
Sprung Hub Discs. Centerforce Clutches were engineered with sprung hub disc centers. A sprung hub helps dampen gear rattle and allows for smoother engagement with light pedal effort. This not only provides excellent driver control, but increases the longevity of your Mustang's transmission, when compared to standard rigid center hub discs.
Required Upgrade. This Centerforce Series II Clutch will require the use of a Centerforce flywheel for proper engagement. Centerforce offers both an aluminum flywheel (PN# 900320) and a steel flywheel (PN# 700320) that are perfect for this application.
