  • Fits 1986 to 1995 5.0L EFI V8 Mustangs

More Power. The Edelbrock Performer RPM II EFI Intake Manifold has shown significant gains in horsepower with it's unique V-shaped crossover design and is ideally suited for street and strip applications.

Modern Design. This RPM II manifold consists of a V-shaped crossover design with an increasing cross-sectional area, which passes over to eight large tapered runners to produce significant gains in horsepower over existing designs in the 1500 to 6500 rpm range.

Application. The Edelbrock Performer RPM II EFI Intake Manifold is designed for use on the 1986 to 1995 5.0L EFI Mustangs. A 70mm throttle body is recommend because a 75mm throttle body will require port matching.

Technical Note. The 1994 to 1995 Mustangs will require the use of the Edelbrock Throttle Body Adapter part# 3835 and Adapter Kit #8025. It will also be necessary to replace the stock strut tower brace with Edelbrock's Strut Tower Brace part# 5225 for clearance. The RPM II EFI Intake Manifold may not fit under the stock hood on the 1994-1995 Mustangs, a taller aftermarket hood is recommended.

Ask a Question

How much hp will this Intake Manifold add to my stock 86 fox??

Connor

  • To a stock 1986 Fox, you may be able to see gains around the 10-15 horsepower range. This however will benefit from other modifications such as heads and cams as the RPM range does not match that of the stock camshaft and the stock heads will run out of steam before the intake is at its peak airflow.

What is the best intake with Gt40x 58cc heads and x303 cam. I have the Cobra intake i bought from you is that the best matched? or is Holley or Edelbrock rpm2 better for me?

AllenL

  • The Edelbrock Performer RPM II EFI Intake Manifold would be well matched for your setup for a street/strip car. A Cobra intake will provide lower power, but more power in the lower RPM range, making it good for a street car. The holly may be a bit of overkill for your setup.

Will this manifold replaced the factory Plenum and manifold exactly, and will it fit under my factory hood for my 93 Mustang GT convertible?

FredR

  • Hey Fred, So yes this does replace the complete factory intake and plenum, and should be an easy fit under the hood of your GT.

is a larger hood necessary with a 94 mustang or will I be able to get by with the stock one?

ed

  • HI, to use the Edelbrock Performer RPM II EFI Intake Manifold a taller aftermarket hood is recommended without a taller hood the manifold can make contact with the stock hood.

is this intake shorter than the typhoon manifold and will the bbk spacer for the performer fit this manifold? i ask because i have a typhoon but it is messed up and would like something with a shorter deck height due to my stru tower brace rubbing the top if the manifold

Jacks88LX5OH

  • You will most likely still have clearance issues with the Edelbrock Performer RPM II EFI Intake Manifold (86-95 5.0L). The Performer and the Typhoon are roughly the same size. Edelbrock does offer a strut tower that will fit over the Performer, which can be found with item # 5225 on their website. If you are referring to a manifold spacer, only spacers designed for the intake manifold will work. A Typhoon spacer will not work with a Performer.

I am getting a new 302 engine with either B-cam or E-cam ( not sure which yet). My question is what size injectors should I use with this manifold 24lb or 30lb? I already have the BBK cai but not the mass air flow sensor because I want this to all work together with the most horsepower!

Wicksgt

  • Hi, I suggest sticking with your stock injectors for now and only going to a larger injector if you use this Edelbrock Performer RPM II EFI Intake Manifold and did a cylinder head upgrade and some other big mods.
