    More Power. An Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Head is perfect for your daily driven or street Mustang for more power and better throttle response from idle to 5500 rpm range.

    Features. This Performer Aluminum Head is made in the USA and features threaded inserts in rocker studs and exhaust bolt holes for superior strength and durability, and manganese-bronze valve guides.

    Application. The Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Head is designed to be a direct bolt-on for 1982 to 1995 5.0L and 5.8L Ford V8 engines.

    Technical Notes. 1986 5.0L need pistons notched for clearance. Will not accept rail rockers. 5.0L requires Head Bolt Bushings #9680 and either Head Bolt Kit #8552 (7/16") or stock head bolts. Match with Edelbrock head gasket sets. Recommended spark plugs 14mm x 3/4" reach with flat gasket seat.

    With the combination of these heads and a b303 cam would i need to change my stock pushrod length and my 1.6 rockers?

    • The Edelbrock Performer Cylinder Head will use stud mount rockers and will not accept pedestal mount rockers like those used for stock heads. Pushrod length should be checked when changing heads, most customers do not require a change in pushrod length however due to production tolerances, we have seen some who did require a different length pushrod.

    What's the best spark plug to use

    • We would need a little more information regarding your build to possibly suggest the best spark plugs for your individual use. The best spark plug for your motor depends on what other modifications you have. There are spark plugs that are best used with forced induction motors or different pugs if you are planning on using nitrous for example.     Hey I've got a 1990 fox with trickflow stage two cam, trickflow intake 75mmtb 42lb injectors 255lph fuel pump, and vortech v1 super charger with aftermarket pulley. 8 to 10 psi. All this is riding on some stock heads so 4700 rpm I cut seems to Float valve or make the valve springs make out. Are these a good head and what size rocker would be recommended.

    • The Edelbrock Performer Cylinder Head would be a good cylinder head for this combination with a 170CC Intake runner. I would recommend a 1.6 rockers for this setup.

    Good cam to match? Just looking for a good cam that will pull up until 6000 rmp

    • I would recommend the Ford Performance B303 Performance Camshaft (85-95 5.0L) for some good low-end torque, a significant increase in top-end power above 4,000 RPM, and a fair Idle.

    what other mods would be good to do with this bolt on?

    • Some good mods to get peak performance out of the heads would be cam, 1.6 or 1.7 roller rockers, intake & larger throttle body. Stick with the Edelbrock intake RPM II, as it has one of the best flow rates. You might consider going up on the injector size as well from the stock 19mm. You should probably need a new MAF sensor to handle the increased TB size and intake.
