A monster power add-on
This setup looks right at home in the S197 engine bay like it was born there. Every time I open my hood at a show, I get a ton of compliments on how sweet it looks. Not to mention the power it added to my 4.6. I do recommend from past experience with Superchargers...get a Oil separator to go with the install. After running Edelbrock, I'll never go back.Helpful (5)

Edelbrock E-Force Stage 1 Lift Off
Very noticeable HP power increase on my 2008 Mustang Bullitt. I have not had it Dyno tested but flooring the accelerator at low engine RPM’s in 1st or 2nd gear definitely pins me to the driver’s seat like never before. The fit was perfect and looks like a factory install.Helpful (17)

DON'T THINK TWICE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT, A MUST HAVE. THE PICTURES DON'T DO IT JUSTICE. ONCE IT'S INSTALLED IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY. THE ADDED SPEED IS JUST WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR AND THE THROTTLE RESPONSE IS SO QUICK.Helpful (14)

Great End Result, Couple of Issues Getting There
Like many others, I took a couple of days to do the install with the help of some buddies. Overall the instructions are really good although there is some room for improvement. My case may be a bit isolated, but I noticed the tune instructions looked nothing like the tuner I was provided. It was difficult to tell if Edelbrock forgot to install the tune or not. It turned out that I contacted Edelbrock they had neglected to install the tune. I provided some info and they emailed me the proper tune. When it came to fire it up, they have a pre-fire checklist to ensure all is well. Well my intercooler pump would not turn on. We verified the pump was getting 12 volts, so we contacted Edelbrock again. After some trial and error we learned that the grounding location in the instructions was not adequate on my vehicle. Adding an additional ground wire and location fixed the problem. This was an additional headache. Once we went to fire it up, it started and immediately shut off with several error codes regarding the throttle body. After much more stress, hours and investigations, we found that the supplied harness in the kit had a pin that had backed itself out when connected (far away from the throttle body). Seating the pin in the faulty harness solved the final issue and wala! Now the car runs great and pulls like it never has before. Power is smooth and consistent throughout the power curve. So now I am very happy despite all the issues we experienced with the install. My advice if doing the install yourself would be to double check your supplied harnesses for loose pins. So far I've been very happy with the supercharger will be doing some testing on the drag strip soon.Helpful (18)

Good, smart investment
After sitting on the idea of forced induction and numerous visits to the AM supercharger page, I decided on the Edelbrock set up, mainly because I live in CA and have had bad luck in finding shops with "lower tolerance" for non-CARB mods, even though it is on the pricier side. I found myself defending my decision to some friends who I strung along the process, saying everything from wanting a conservative system for engine longevity to liking the way it looks better (I originally wanted the Procharger after having 2 other centrifugal systems on previous stangs). All of which were true. However, after installing and tuning my car, I've realized it was a super smart choice. Not only do I have all the above, including being street legal (I'm almost daring a cop to pull me over just to see if I have any illegal parts, which some areas around LA are known to do, just so I can show him/her the E/O sticker I have for it), but the power is pretty amazing. A couple things to note: First, DO GET A DYNO TUNE AFTER. The Edelbrock SCT tune is not a one size fits all solution. So for some it may work adequately, but to get the full potential, you need a professional tune to maximize your investment. I had a baseline run with the SCT tune before my tuner altered anything, and my powerband was all over the place and only peaked rwhp at 330. After the tune, I was good for 401. Combine that with my 4.10 gears and Brittany (my car) gets going in a hurry! Second, my tuner suggested I either get a more powerful fuel pump or a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump, because my stock pump was maxing out at higher rpms, causing pinging. Lastly, I'd suggest getting a smaller pulley because the stock 4.6 is able to handle more boost and still be viable for longevity. This obviously depends on your particular application so either know your stuff or ask a pro first (like your friendly AM people! or your tuner).Helpful (23)

Install pretty straight forward. I didn't get a belt in my kit This kit is a really nice kit and produces good power.Comes with nice binder book with pics for installation. The power is very smooth went from 5.1 0-60 mph to 4.3 0-60 mph haven't done any other testing. It's a 06 gt convertible just added the supercharger for my wife but it's now a very fun car on the street . Some mods to suspension and great for track probably a mid 12 car.Helpful (11)

One of the Best Kits
I installed the E-force kit on my 2008 Mustang about 3 years ago. Switching to the 3.25 inch pulley generated a proven dyno result of 470 ft-lb and 470 hp at the rear wheels. This kit is a very well designed and high quality product. You will not be disappointed.Helpful (17)

Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger
I really like this blower, as it has given my 06 GT new life. I had it installed at RPMM here in San Deigo,Ca. I went from 335 HP with some bolt on aftermarket ad-ons to a modest 510 at the crank and 445 at thr rear and is pushing 422 ft.lbs of torque. I did have some issues with the throttle body malfunction and the thrttle was sticking. After cleaning the throttle body twice and not fixing the issue, Edelbrock sent out a newer model throttle body and it has fixed the problem. With that being said, make sure you do not get this charger with the "old" throttle body as you might have the same issues. This was not a big deal only because I have a manual transmission. Overall, kick butt kit and I would definately recommend to all.Helpful (27)

This is hands down the most complete kit available. It looks like it came that way from the factory. Nobody can believe its a kit when I open the hood or open the throttle. I Could not be happier it dyno pulled 426rwhp and 410rwt. My nickname is now Happy Feet!!Helpful (59)
Can it work with Automatics? I have an '05 GT and was curious if this kit can be fitted for an automatic transmission? If so, are there any considerations I should make as in a rebuild of the transmission with better parts or a different torque converter?
yes it will work with auto trans, you just have to keep it under 10 psi and it wont damage engine and tranny
3 questions. Would i be able to use this supercharger with the steeda CAI? What intakes would be best for use with this S/C? Would i need a cmcp delete with this?
The Edelbrock E-Force Stage 1 Street Supercharger Kit w/ Tuner (05-09 GT) is a complete kit so you don't need to do anything or get anything on top of what already comes with the kit. However, if you did want to modify this kit considering it is a complete kit, that would be a combination of talking with Edelbrock themselves and whoever your mechanic is in order to make sure you're modifying it properly.
Can I still run 2 turbos If I have a supercharger can i still run 2 turbos too?
You can. It's called a compound boost system. If you google that you'll see some awesome setups using compound boost. Something to consider though, is if you need it. You'll need a custom shop willing to build it for you, a bulletproof bottom end, and a viable supercharger setup. You'll want a tuner kit, over a complete kit since the injectors and tune would be useless in a CB setup.
Non stock engines Can this work with an engine with ford racing cams and cnc heads?
FRPP CNC Heads, yes, but as with any head swap you want to consider the porting details to make sure you're getting an optimal setup. As for cams, you need to pick a grind that fits your intended purpose, your other components, and a supercharged engine, so you'd be looking for a particular cam or a custom grind. So in short there's really no yes/no answer here. However I will mention that FRPP's Hot Rod cams are not recommended for forced-induction setups, so if those were what you were thinking of, look elsewhere.
will this fit under my my SR strut tower brace?
No, you would need a higher clearance brace such as the Boss 302 brace.
I wouldn't say it's required but I would definitely recommend getting a better clutch due to the higher power that this kit will produce.
Yes, this can be used on a stock 06 GT. Installation of this kit on 2005-2006 GT models will require the use of an Edelbrock Cooling Upgrade kit., item #56539. No other components are needed.
This kit comes with HTO Spark Plugs for 2005-Early 2008 GT Models.
This kit is made to accommodate a stock air box.
This will work great with 93 octane. The 91 octane rating is just the lowest you will want to go.
If you upgrade this kit with a 3.5" Pulley, you will need to purchase a new belt (to accommodate foe the length) and an update to your vehicles computer system. Since you will be running a different size pulley, the boost levels will change which is why a new tune will be required.
The HTO Spark Plugs are for 2005-Early 2008 Models only.
The package dimensions are 32" x 24" x 32" (L x W x H) and the weight is approximately 151 lbs.
