Cryogenic Strength for the Classic 5.0L Fox Body. The Frozen Rotors Vented Front Rotor for the 1987-1993 5.0L Mustang (excluding Cobra) is the definitive solution for the most popular performance era of the Fox platform. While the 11-inch (280mm) factory front brakes were a significant upgrade over earlier years, they are notoriously prone to warping and heat-soak when subjected to aggressive V8 driving. These rotors undergo a 60-hour proprietary cryogenic treatment that permanently restructures the iron at a molecular level, creating a surface that is nearly immune to warping, pedal pulsation, and thermal cracking.
Molecularly Enhanced G3000 Metallurgy. Each rotor starts as a premium G3000 gray iron casting before undergoing the deep freeze process. This transformation converts retained austenite into martensite, a much denser and more stable form of iron. For the Fox Body owner, this means the rotor maintains its dimensional stability even after repeated high-speed stops. By increasing the material’s thermal conductivity, Frozen Rotors allow heat to dissipate more rapidly through the internal cooling vanes, keeping your front-end braking consistent during spirited canyon runs or track events.
Installation. Putting this Frozen Rotors Vented Rotor; Front on your 5.0L Mustang takes 3 hours to install.
Application. The Frozen Rotors Vented Rotor; Front fits 1987-1993 5.0L Mustang models, excluding Cobra.
