Maybe nobody is very concerned about the impact on mph but it could be an issue. Will the Power Pack 2 change the mph? Even if there is no lead foot syndrome ?

    terryf

    • When using the Ford Performance Power Pack 2 or other tuners, mpg will see a slight increase under normal driving conditions. Typically the gains are <1mpg.

Will this affect the sound of my mustang ?

    EdmundT

    • Installing this power pack will have affect on the sound of the vehicle. Everything should set itself once the car is driven around 100 or so miles fro the computer to relearn with the new throttle body and intake.

Do the gains apply to all driving modes if you have a GT with the Performance Pack?

    DanM

      KEEP YOUR WARRANTY!

I did not pay for extended warranty for nothing. Glad these packs maintain my warranty with two exceptions; product must be bought by Ford Performance parts dealer and the product must be installed by Ford dealer. $212.50 and two hours later the throttle response is amazing! The exhaust note is so different even at idle. Worth the cost to maintain warranty hands down!

      Well worth the money

Smooth install. Awesome power added. Subtracted one star due to being stuck in processing for about three days. Once I called and spoke to someone, it all got sorted out.

Torque increase at lower RPM's very noticable

Cabin is a bit quieter, maybe only a tonal change. Lower RPM torque is felt immediately. Car is much more responsive. Feels like more was added than advertised. Very pleased with this purchase. Transforms the car.

Why did I wait so long for this mod!?

If you are on the fence about Power Pack 2, get off the fence. This mod is well worth the money. My car is a totally different car since I installed PP2, and I mean in a GOOD way. The throttle response is instant. The exhaust not is deeper and there are burbles and pops in 1st and 2nd that were not there previously with my Borla Sport axle backs. 7200 red line and the no lift shift, OMG!!! Happy Happy Happy...

      Proof is in the numbers.

My 2015 mustang gt was bone stock 0-60 times 5.1-5.3. Installed the stage2 package was running 4.7-5.0. Car wouldn't stick on stock 265 pirellis Changed tires to 285's in the rear nitto gt2s are great and consistent times are 4.5-4.6. If you do the muffler delete with x pipes the car will perform much better with the package. Your neighbors will not like you. Lol. Running 4.2-4.3's now. Car is much more responsive breathes so much better. The 4.4 0-60 times ford claims the car does stock is way off! You will gain up to a half a second 0-60 and more then that on quarter mile time. Dealer installed for 250 bucks took 3 hours. warranty is still good. For 1000 bucks well worth the money

      Awesome!

This is a great package! The install was straightforward and only took a couple hours. The throttle response is improved along with the everyday drivability. The improvements in the lower rpm range are easily felt while driving. The no-lift-shift is a lot of fun when running to redline. The only negative is that gas prices are jumping up!

      Great Inverstment!

Here are some of my impressions of the fpp2. First of all, I read numerous reviews from many sites, and I hope to answer some of the questions that I had not answered by other reviewers. As for performance, yes you can tell a difference, throttle response is much better(normal mode) feels like sport mode. Sport mode feels about the same. Now, something that I did notice and not sure why, but my car shifts are smoother and not as notchy. Sound does change. I have the Roush axel-back installed, and my interior sound with removing sound tube is not as loud. I think it sounds better, more natural. I did notice that it does idle different not bad, but more like it is adjusting every couple of seconds. Also got installed at ford dealership, they charged 3hrs labor with was $387. I thought a little expensive. Using the dealership I had some confusion regarding the tune and the laptop, because if they use there laptop you don't get a saved copy of the PC3 procal file of your original factory tune. So I had them transfer my file to a thumb drive. Very happy with this install.

      Beware

I installed the throttle body and cold air intake and filter with no problems (followed instructions). Then I downloaded and installed the tune. This is where it sucks because there are NO STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS on how to install it. Because it comes with no instructions I had a problem with it. Check engine light stays on and I got NO HELP FROM AMERICAN MUSCLE OR FORD RACING. Dealerships don’t want to touch it. I’m on my own. Was told I would have to get a new computer for the car.

      Love it, but....

The power increase is great. I would have given it 5 stars but in all honesty it could be better as far as the actual cold air intake tube goes... the vacuum nipple on the top of the tube hits the engine cover so you have to cut the engine cover to fit. Which looks terrible no matter how you cut it. It should have been thought out a little better if Ford is going to share parts from the GT350. I would have probably bought a different cold air intake had I known this. However the low end torque makes the Mustang what it should have been from the factory.

      Awesome Power!

If Ford sold the Mustang GT with this Power Pack from the factory they would not sell as many Shelby GT350 models! The power and throttle response is a huge improvement over stock. I had my local Ford dealership do the installation to keep the warranty on my 2017 GT. For $700 this is an absolute bargain! Don’t think just buy it!! Ignore the very few negative reviews on this item.

HUGE change in Throttle response, and power

Like everyone is saying this literally makes the car drive and feel like a different animal, the take offs and throttle response is significant, to the point where I first drove it and I was speechless, the exhaust note and growl is significantly different and entirely noticeable from the get go, I'm 110 satisfied, Ford installed mine, dropped car off at 7:30 am and it was done by 2:00pm, charged my 2hrs of labor at 130.00hr. The delay was that I got in a last minute window for installation and was advised they were behind schedule and that their would be an extended wait until the performance engineer could do the install and that's fine I was happy to wait. the install and look of the motor cavity is glorious, its something to pop the hood and show people the motor now. I cant explain in writing the significant change this upgrade does to the overall drivability and feel of the car and motor. the exhaust does a popping sound which wasn't there prior which gives it a mean audible note while driving. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who just wants to give their motor that extra push, my car had 320 miles on the OD, brand new car this is my 3rd mustang I had a 2011 with coyote gen1, this Gen2 motor with this power pack is awesome!

      Best bang for the buck

Very very happy with this product over just a conventional tune and intake combo. Ford really brought it when it comes to waking this motor up and letting it breathe. Stock the car felt very sluggish now the throttle is very responsive and the power gains that are made are very noticeable. Probably very close to the 18 ' model power wise. Very straight forward to install.

      7 STARS!!

Got this installed a few weeks ago. Now I can't stop driving it. The car is a different BEAST now with so much more noticeable power! Even at low rpm's! I also got new Roush axle back exhausts and 1" lowering springs all round installed at the same time. This means more power, better handling, killer stance, and a beastly growl! Get this kit!

      Great product.

It took me about 2 1/2 hours to install. The instructions could have been clearer, but they were not too bad. This product really helped with the low end torque, and it sounds great when accelerating. The only problem I had was that an the engine light came on for code P00315 ( Crank Sensor relearn fail). I ended up finding out you have to use the relearn option under the analyze selection. It had me rev the engine past 4K a few time, then it cleared the code. I'm super happy with this product and highly recommend it!

      Solid perfornace gains

Performance gains are great. The car will do 0-60 under 5 seconds now. The Ford Dealership did struggle to get it installed. They said there about 2 out 100 cars that the tune won't upload. It took 3 days to fix. It needed a new port from Ford.
