More low end power - less hesitation

The title says it all. Plenty of power and less lag, particularly from a stop. Does not void warranty if work done by Ford Dealer. Win win.

Hello, I have a 2017 California Special that has hood vents that sit almost directly over where the CAI would be. Could this create a problem in rain?

  • We have not had any issues reported with the Ford Performance Power Pack 2 ingesting water on cars with hood vents.

I had this installed by a local Ford dealership and ever since then when I shut the car off there's a loud thud noise coming from the engine has anyone else noticed this? Another thing I noticed is when I turn my car on to accessories the check engine light will be solid then flash 8 times and go back to solid but the CEL is off when the engine is running.

Any idea if the ProCal tool will work with a mac?

  • The ProCal tool will work with Macs.

Do the gains apply to all driving modes if you have a GT with the Performance Pack?

  • The max gains will be achieved on the most aggressive driving modes, and a smaller yield will be produced on the less aggressive mode.

Based on what I've read, I understand that this tune will not be specific to my Roush axleback exhaust and H-Pipe, but does it make this PP useless and/or will I suffer problems. I don't want to add this feature if I'm just going to create problems with my current setup. Thank you in advance, I appreciate your time.

Two Questions: 1) Does installing the Power Pack 2 (and associated tune) and driving the car in “Normal” mode cause the car to behave more-or-less like an un-modded Mustang in, “Sport” mode, or is there a noticeable and different feel all together? Please elaborate being as specific as you can. 2) I already know all the driving modes still function after installing this product, but how do each of the modes differ in driving experience from pre-installation to post-installation? All the reviews and comments I’ve seen on this product never seem to answer these two questions and I’ve been hesitant to buy because of this. Thanks!

    Why not

With all the after market tuners it is refreshing to have Ford offer a comparable product that does not affect the warranty. Increase in torque and the difference in shifting was well worth the cost, only down side is the disposable cold air filter. Good solid tune with good enhancements to HP and torque and little to no effect on MPG. The install of the throttle body is a little involved, but the intake body is a breeze. 2 hours installation tops and 30 minutes of that is downloading the tune. Make sure and have a battery charger on hand, tune won't download if battery goes below 12 volts.

    Excellent Product

Car feels 300 lbs lighter because of the extra power. The change in shifting for the automatic transmission was amazing. Why Ford doesn't make this standard in all Mustangs is beyond reason other than they can make more money. Stop thinking and just buy the package.

    Power pack stage 2

Awesome kit as far as performance goes. The one thing that really irritates me, is the simple fact it made my car a lot more quiet in the cabin. I have the Corsa Extreme paired with this performance pack and it's almost dead silent now. I have to get on it to make me remember I have an exhaust. I may end up returning this kit and going with a different setup. I'm the kind of guy who likes to have my Muscle car performance with the loud sound.

    Worth the wait

Had to wait 4 months on backorder but it was worth it. Allow the car around 100 miles of driving for the computer to relearn with the new parts and tune. At 100 miles mine really picked up in throttle response and power. Sounds better too. Overall very happy with the extra power and retaining the warranty on my car.

    Noticeable Gains

Would have been 5 stars for performance upgrade with a warranty, 4 stars because my procal 3 was a dud. Not to worry, as far as I can tell I'm the only person who had this issue. Long story short, Ford performance sent a new one. But I will say, if you plug in the procal and it doesn't pull vin or vehicle data, it's likely an issue with the unit. Call ford performance and they can sort it out. I did notice an improvement on acceleration numbers and noticed the car performs slightly better over stock (no, it's not going to match gains from a custom tune or other CAI/TB upgrades, but you keep your warranty). Gas mileage is the same and cabin noise is the same, despite what others may say. On heavy acceleration you will hear a slight whistle compared to stock, but that's it. Overall very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend for a light upgrade.

100000 times better than the same old roush stuff. Price isn't to shabby either. Very happy with mine
