    Street/Strip Use. Hawk High Performance Street 5.0 Pads offer the greatest stopping power and pedal feel, all without compromising your ABS system. Brake torque and pedal feedback were major factors that went into producing a brake pad that will not only give you a unique driving feel, but will allow you to challenge yourself and really have fun with your S197 Mustang.

    Ferro-Carbon Formula. Hawk uses a unique Ferro-Carbon formula, using aerospace design for its safety and quality characteristics and combined that with the braking technology of motorsports. More stopping power and resistance to brake fade make these High Performance Street 5.0 Brake Pads more responsive, durable and reliable.

    Less Noise & Dust. The unique Ferro-Carbon formula used for these High Performance Street 5.0 Pads are specially formulated to produce and reduce extremely low brake dust levels while being very quiet during normal street driving conditions.

    Application. This set of Hawk High Performance Street 5.0 Brake Pads are specifically designed to be used on the front of the 2005 to 2014 V6, GT and Bullitt Mustangs. Does not fit GT Brembo, Shelby GT500 or BOSS Mustangs. Set includes driver-side and passenger-side brake pads.

        Should these be installed using the steel clips? Every other set of pads I've purchased from an auto parts store always came with new clips, these did not? The pads did not seem like they fit with the old clips so I just put them on without, but I'm concerned that will not work out well.

            Great pads!

            This is my second time installing these brake pads on my 2014 GT on stop tech rotors slotted, and cross drilled. They stop great really bit when I need to stop quickly. The dust is a lot, but well worth it. I see a lot of comments on dust from these pads and other pads. Your not going to get pads for performance with no dust. I clean my rim once a week, no problem with that. If your going to play you have to pay.

            Hawk Performance HPS 5.0 Brake PAds

            Excellent pads with very good stopping power. Replaced my stock pads with the Hawk Pads, very satisfied. No squeak, squeal or any other type of noise coming after installation of theses pads.

            Squeals all the time

            I replaced my pads and rotors with the sector 27 drilled and slotted rotors and used these HPS5.0 pads. The first day they were solid. Stopping was more efficient and everything was good. A week later and they squeal so much and so loud I can't stand it. I've heard nothing but good things about hawk pads but the squealing is unbearable.

            More Consistent Braking

            These pads were a great replacement for the factory pads and gave me enhanced braking. Brake fade was reduced with these pads, the only downside is that they put off a little bit of brake dust which means more time cleaning the wheels. However, their performance makes it all worth it. Once my current set is done for, I will replace them with these again.

            Terrible Product

            Worst decision ever to get these brakes. They have squealed so loudly since day one! I have done everything I could to get it to stop. No success. Why get your Mustang all shooped up if it squeals? So embarrassing. I had brand new rotors put on at the same time so i know the brakes are the problem. Not to mention, the pads are getting ripped apart from the rotors, chucks of the pad are missing. I CANT BELIEVE I SPENT $200 ON THESE BRAKES! Never again.

            Good Performance

            The HPS 5.0 front brake pads provide good performance over the stock pads. Moving from the stock worn out pads to these of course is very noticeable but pedal feel and the ability to push heads to glass on a dime from high speeds is much better. No noise. Highly recommend.

            Fantastic replacement for OEM pads

            These pads are an ideal replacement for the OEM pads. To avoid misleading anyone into purchasing these for stopping power, realize that the stock pads are capable of locking the wheels at speed, so you don't actually gain any sort of increase in stopping power by switching your pads, shorter stopping distances come primarily from your vehicle weight and tires. What these pads WILL do is provide a more solid feel, which you will notice immediately, and resist fade when you're driving in a *ahem* "more spirited" manner better than the stock pads. They also produce FAR less bake dust, so the wheels stay looking nice longer instead of you having to scrub the caked on brake dust out of the wheels all the time. The application of pressure on the brakes feels more linear as well, kind of like the difference in the way power comes on without and with a tune. They go on just like any other pads, and if you've got everything on hand I bet you could get done in around an hour and a half, although it took me about twice as long since I had to run to the auto parts store for one of those clamps for the rear brake calipers to turn the piston as it pushes it in. Due to the reduced dust, the pedal feel, and the fade resistance, along with how well they seem to be wearing, I will be using these pads from now on, unless Hawk comes out with an even better pad.
