Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, here to talk about the benefits of using the Bama X4 Flash Tuner, loaded with the new custom Bama V2 Tunes on your Coyote powered '11 to '14 GT.Now, here with me today, Paul Meister from the Bama Performance Team. He's going to talk a little bit more about what the average Coyote owner can expect when uploading a tune to their GT. Paul?Paul: What you can expect when uploading your tune to your '11 to '14 Mustang GT is a complete remap electronic throttle calibration for improved throttle response. For the automatic owners, it's a complete redesign of the shifting characteristics from shift points, torque converter lock and unlock, fan setting changes, fuel map changes, spark map changes. And of course, a refocus on the twin independent and variable cam for improved drive-ability and maximum performance.Justin: Absolutely. With the new Bama V2 Tunes, we're talking about a performance, and we're also talking about a race tune. Can you explain the difference?Paul: Correct. Our Performance V2 Tune is really designed for that aggressive daily driver. It offers a seamless blend of performance and drive-ability. And we do that with a remap ETC; electronic throttle calibration. The automatic guys get a completely revised shift schedule, torque converter changes, and again, some of the twin independent variable cam stuff as well, that we spoke about.The Race V2 Tune is designed for just that; race use only. We pretty much disable all the torque management. It's designed to shift really aggressively for the automatic guys, and just deliver everything that's left on the table from the vehicle.Justin: Yeah, and guys, don't forget, with Bama's "Free Tunes For Life," as your car's modifications grow, Paul and his team at Bama Performance will write a new tune for each and every mod so you can get the most out of your set-up.Now guys, that's going to do it for now. Paul's going to basically translate what he just said in the dyno numbers shortly when we run our 2012 GT behind me. But in the meantime, Paul's going to get out of here. We're going to talk a little bit more about what you can expect with the X4 tuner itself.As for the actual Bama SF4 tuner itself, well, as you can see, it's a pretty sleek, compact and modern design but with a very large, easy to read, full color LCD display. Now, some of the features with this full color display include a landscape mode, meaning you can turn it sideways, just like a lot of smartphones out there, for a completely different view.You can also choose different colors and themes available through a menu. And you can also go ahead and select a power-saving auto-dim feature to use while the tuner's plugged in but not in use.So, why the larger screen? Well, the Bama SF4 does feature on-screen gauges and data logging similar to what you'd find with more expensive models like the SCT Livewire or even the ITSX, for instance. These screen layouts are fully customizable and can display up to eight different values at one time, including boosts, air fuel ratio, coolant temp and intake air temperature, just to name a few. And by the way, you can data log these just with a simple touch of a button.Other features with the SF4 do include built-in WiFi which is a nice little touch and allows you to take care of those future firmware updates wirelessly.Now, the tuner does feature dual analog inputs and a removable power cord, making storage in a glove box or armrest that much easier. The tuner does still hold 10 tunes at one time and is still capable of reading and clearing those diagnostic codes just like any other tuner available out there on the market today.Finally, guys, if you do have any more questions about the SF4 tuner itself, please head back to the product page at AmericanMuscle.com where you can read up on some more details in addition to some customer reviews.Now, before we show you just how much power you can expect on your '11 to '14 GT using a custom Bama V2 Tune, I just wanted to walk you guys through the actual process of uploading the tune using your Bama Performance X4 Flash Tuner, and then we'll go ahead and make our Dyno pull here with our 2012 GT and show you guys the results.To start, you're going to want to locate your car's OBD-II port, which on the '11 to '14 Ford Mustang GTs is located on the lower portion of the dash here. So, go ahead and plug your tuner in and wait for it to power on. Navigate to your performance or race tune. Select the tune you wish to upload. And then just follow the detailed instructions listed on the screen here.Of course, if you guys have any trouble whatsoever during this process, you can always reach out to a Bama Tuning Expert. They're always standing by, ready to help you guys out.With our baseline run already in the books and the tuneup loaded, Paul's going to hop in the car and make another hit here on the Dynojet and see what kind of numbers you can expect with your GT.Our baseline run using our stock 2012 GT gave us 365 horsepower and 343 pound/feet of torque at the rear wheels. With the Bama V2 93 race tuneup loaded, the car is now making 397 horsepower and 382 pound/feet of torque. Tunes are great, tuner is ok
Had problems with the tuner, but now that those are worked out, the tune is great! Bama is easy to work with and very helpful. Wish I could say the same for SCT.Helpful (0)

Great product, but.......
The tuner is nice, I went with it for the ease of use with my smart phone. Not so much...my phone does not load tunes, it will time out every time I try to use it? So I tried my tablet and it works great, but I have everything turned off, I basically put it on airplane mode, and turned the Bluetooth on, and only connected to the tuner. Did have some issues with the tune, but they were simple fixes. Called into Bama and they were very helpful. Had to call SCT and that was not a good experience. every time I called, I was caller #30-40 and had to request a call back. and only received a call back 3 days later, after the issue was resolved. Thankfully Justin with Bama was able to help get me back on track. Still have not figured out the gauge function of the tuner, not thrilled with it, but it does load tunes as advertised.Helpful (1)

Actually works with iPhones
At first I was having trouble downloading the tunes onto the device using a PC (won't work on Mac but that has never been an option with any tuner), after a reinstall of the software the tunes loaded up fine. This product is advertised to only be compatible with iOS 10 but I have an iphone 7 with the 11.1.2 software and I was able to load the tunes just fine. However, I still cannot get the gauge screen to work so I guess this is what they were referring to about the compatibility. As far as the tunes go, Bama killed it! The performance tune is a great daily tune with more throttle response and the engine just wants to keep giving more and more all the way up to redline. The race tune is actually insane, I'm pretty sure they max out the fuel injection on this because you can smell the extra fuel in the exhaust just sitting at idle. The ghost cam is really cool but I still have cats on so I didn't get the full effect of this tune.Helpful (1)

Works as advertised
Updated the unit from my PC as instructed as soon as I received it. Paired without issue to my LG Android phone. Initial connection and download of the stock tune took several minutes but worked fine. Dropping new tunes into the car is quick and painless. The unit is small enough to leave plugged in but the orientation of the ODBII port on the car causes it to stick straight down into the foot well. The real-time instrumentation (gauge mode) on the Android software side of things is unimpressive. It would be nice to have better control of the layout and functionality. I received several emails after ordering the unit to let me know the progress of the order, and to ask additional questions to get the tunes completed. The unit came with the tunes pre-installed. The tunes themselves seemed to be of good quality. The factory shift points on the '13 auto are terrible, and Bama seems to clean them up as well as can be expected.Helpful (7)
Ghost cam tune? Can Bama Performance provide a "ghost cam" tune for the new 5.0? By ghost cam I mean a tune that makes the car lope as if it has a real high lift cam installed.
We offer our version of the Ghost Cam for 2011 + GTs. Our tune is called the Bama Cam, we offer it for manual transmission GT's with an off-road x-pipe only. This tune can be used in conjunction with our Race Tune. When submitting info for your vehicle, you have to request it in the notes field. Give our Bama team a call if you have any other questions!
I have a 2014 gt with the track key. Just wondering would your tune work along with the track key, as far as launch control, and lopy idle? And would it delete the ford tune with the track key install?
The Bama iTSX Wireless Tuner w/ 2 Custom Tunes would not be usable with the track key, The launch control can be changed and the ghost cam tune can be added for a lopey idle. It will save your stock tune to the device but it will overwrite the track key tune.
Question 1, When loading new tunes like when I had an X3 tuner, do I need to restore to Factory setting before I load the tune? Question 2, IF or IF NOT, am I able to backup the Factory tune to an external media (eg. USB drive, SD Card, Phone, PC, etc)? Question 3, Is it possible to tune the Traction Control button? like instead of the way it is, instead pressing the button once is Sport Mode and double tap is Advanced Traction Off then long press for just Traction off (which is actually mislabeled, lol...)
If you wish to save the factory tune on the Bama iTSX Wireless Tuner w/ 2 Custom Tunes as you did with the X3 tuner, you will want to load the stock tune back onto the vehicle. When you load the new tunes from the iTSX tuner it will then store a copy of the stock tune on the device. As for tuning for traction control, they can tune to "permanently" turn it off but can not tune for how the button functions.
It says it comes with 2 custom tunes.. so can I get a custom tune for cat deletes?
Bama is unable to tune for cat deletes.
Can I download the tunes and transfer with my iPhone to the device? I’m reading mix answers
Yes, you are able to download and transfer your tunes using your IPhone. Check out the customer photos to see a customer doing just that!

Bama can write a ghost cam tune but since you have cats doing this will damage the cats.
The Bama iTSX Wireless Tuner is not compatible with the latest version of IOS. We do not have any confirmation of it being compatible in the future.
Following purchase of the Bama iTSX Wireless Tuner w/ 2 Custom Tunes (11-14 GT; 12-13 BOSS 302) Bama will send you out a tune sheet that will need to be filled out in order for them to create the custom tunes. Once that is complete, the production team will have it queued to create and program on to the tuners before sending it out to you!
Bama does not offer a Ghost Cam tune for the Boss 302. However, they can clear the check engine light that comes from the cat deletes.
Yes a Bama Custom Tune will work on the automatic 2012 GT with ghost cam functionality.
