A Kooks catted X pipe features high flow race catalytic converters to increase overall performance. This Kooks x-pipe is specifically designed to be used with Kooks Long Tube Headers.

    Race Car Growl. This free flowing Kooks x-pipe for the 2005-2010 GT Mustang's not only increases power, but it also adds a crisp raspy, race car growl to the sound of your exhaust with its modern "X" crossover pipe design.

    Quality Construction. Manufactured from 2.5" diameter mandrel bent 304 stainless steel tubing, Kooks x-pipes feature a merged "X" crossover for superior exhaust flow.

    Can i put theses on without the headers first and just the original stock manifold exhaust?

    • This Kooks Shorty Catted X-Pipe is specifically designed to fit the 2005-2010 4.6L GT and Bullitt Mustangs with either Kooks Manual or Automatic Long Tube Headers installed. It will not install properly without the headers because it is shorter than the factory x pipe.

    What is the best kooks off-road x pipe for my 09 mustang??

    • The Kooks Catted X-pipe (05-10 GT w/ Long Tube Headers) will be a great X pipe for your car. We only carry the Kooks off-road and catted X-pipe. Both will be the same just one will not have any cats making it louder.

    Catted Is the catalytic converter necessary for a daily driver? I don't know whether to get this or the offroad X-pipes

    • Most states need catalytic converters for smog and registration.

      Excellent Product

      Got this as part of the Kooks Header\Catted X-Pipe kit to replace the existing stock exhaust system to improve performance and prepare for a future SC install. Fit was very good and the engine's low end response improved noticeably over the stock exhaust. Got even better when I modified the stock 4.6L tune to incorporate the Kooks header install. Very happy! Took all to the local Ford dealership to install as I don't have the necessary jack stand height to accommodate the install (installed both headers and X-pipe at the same time) but install took far too long due to the kit having missing parts that were supposed to be included so had to work w\ AM to get all straightened out. Otherwise excellent!

      redesigned

      Had an original early design kit without brace on the x, so it has cracked on the weld. Got this one as replacement and it is a new design now, giving a piece of mind about longevity.
