    Increase Exhaust Flow. Ford did a decent job on the S197 catalytic converters, but the stock H-Pipe is pretty restrictive. That's where the MAC Performance Cut and Clamp Mid-Pipe comes into play. Featuring MAC's unique Chamber style crossover and free-flowing mandrel-bent piping, this cut and clamp Mid Pipe will dramatically improve exhaust flow for more power and sound.

    Muscle Car Rumble. This free flowing MAC Performance Mid Pipe not only increases the horsepower and torque of your Mustang, but with its unique Pro Chamber cross over design it adds a distinctive muscle car rumble to the sound of your exhaust, that the standard H-Pipe just can't match.

    Reuses Stock Cats. The installation of the MAC Performance Cut & Clamp Pro Chamber Mid-Pipe requires cutting and removing the stock H-Pipe, and reuses the factory catalytic converters saving you money. Clamps and complete instructions are provided.

    High Quality Construction. Constructed from durable 2.5" diameter stainless steel tubing, this MAC Performance mid pipe is CNC mandrel bent to ensure maximum exhaust flow, so there are no kinks to rob you of power.

    Application. The MAC Performance Pro Chamber Cut and Clamp Mid-pipe is designed for use on the 2005-2010 4.6L Mustangs, including the GT and Bullitt with either aftermarket short tube headers or the stock manifolds installed. Reuses factory catalytic converters.

    What is inside the chamber? An H, X, or some other invention? Is the chamber resonated? It would be nice if the description answered these questions. Thank you.

    • The MAC Pro Chamber is a Unique design from Mac, Rather than an H or X, Mac uses a chamber to equalize exhaust pulses. Mac does not add any form of resonator as this is not intended to reduce sound output.

    does it need to be tuned? Will I need a new tune by purchasing this? and is this the off road version of Mac Pro-chamber? because some other websites has listed this part number as off road version. Thanks

    • No you will not need a tune but could help pull some extra HP. Also no this is not and off road version it's designed to work with the factory exhaust manifolds and cats

      Pro Chamber

      One word AWESOME! I had a pro chamber on my fox when I was in my 20s so i decided to put one on my s197. Great decision. Paired with my slp loudmouth axleback the sound is amazing. I can feel a difference in my torque also. Would recommend for any mustang old or new.

      Mac Prochamber H-Pipe

      First things first this is a very quiet H-Pipe. The only thing exhaust wise I had on the car was a pair of flowmaster outlaws which sound amazing for just axle backs. My goal was to have a smooth but loud exhaust. The smoothness was achieved but this H-Pipe lacks in volume. I'm hoping to add a pair of LT's will hopefully wake it up. All in all if your the type of guy or gal that is willing to sacrifice sound for the smooth tone of this prochamber this is the H-Pipe for you.

      MAC PRO Chamber

      Was looking for a crossover pipe that would work with my current cats and wasn't too loud, as I drive this car everyday. This product fit my needs perfectly, plus I have noticed an increase in mpg going back and forth to work.

      smooth tone

      Removed o/r x pipe for the mac prochamber and wow just what a three valve needs for a smooth tone not raspy like other mid pipes install this and never look back. Installation was easy and to the point can be done in an hour or less. Only mid pipe I will ever buy or recommend for 3valve mustang.

      best exhaust choice!!!

      I had ordered this from AM from their advice and I have to say .... I LOVE IT !!!! I had an x pipe on orginally which gave me a decent tone but WOT resonatated to much and had a tuner whine... the pro chamber fixed this right up. No more raapy annoying whine and drone prochamber sounds crisp clean andd a little deeper. Idle has a beautiful purr but is not overbearing by any mean and thats with no mufflers. If you have a v6 stang and you are looking for a nice note this is your product..... wont make it sound lkke a v8 persay but youll make those civics think twice before challenging you

      cant beat the sound of this thing, much deeper the the stock H. Sooner or later I will be installing hi flow cats and MAC headers to complement this already awesome product.

      MAC Cut & Clamp Pro Chamber Mid-Pipe

      IInstalled this in tandem with Corsa Extreme's. Was all stock accept for Flowmaster 40's. There was some weld slag in the chamber that was a real pain to get out which is why I rated it middle of the road. Went on easy enough and sounds great although for anyone wanting aggressive unless your running headers and no cats its going to be quiter than the stock H pipe. I am very happy overall although I was wanting a bit more volume the sound is unique and the drone has vanished , Putting a youtube link not sure if that allowed but its there if you want to hear it,

      Smooth exhaust tone

      If u like the choppy deep sound of a V8 then stick with the stock H. If u want a slightly deeper and smoother sound then the prochamber is the way to go. I have it paired with some chambered flows. Now as u know chambered mufflers are like drone city, but the prochamber makes it a bit more tolerable. Over all exhaust note is a bit quieter and deeper. Sounds like heaven's orchestra at wot. Fit and finish is ok, kinda looks like I could've made one outa scrap metal though, but hey it sits under the car and as long as it doesnt leak and does what its supposed to im kool. I did pickup 1-2 mpg, I dont know if it was strictly from the prochamber though. Im pretty sure the bama tune played a role in the mileage too. Installation was a breeze just make sure to put something on da pipes to help em slide for a better fit.

      I was surprised to find there were no instructions with this product, but It was pretty easy to figure things out. The install took less than 2 hours. The prochamber quieted down the exhaust a little, as I was expecting. It still sounds good, and there is no rasp at all. The best part that I found with the prochamber is the smooth drive, especially in first and second gear. I guess its the reduced pressure, but I love the feel now. Not sure if anything feels quicker, but worth the install.

      Mac Prochamber

      The Mac Prochamber is a good mod for the S197 Mustang GT, but a bit on the pricey side for the performance gains. The Prochamber (Cut & Clamp) is designed for 2005 - 2009 Mustang GT's, but the 2008 model didn't require the exhaust hanger welded to the unit (These were removed during the install). This mid pipe was paired with a set of Flowmaster American Thunder mufflers. Pros: - Quiet and clean exhaust tone - Stainless steel finish - Smoother feeling acceleration - Balances exhaust pulses (like an x-pipe) Cons: - Quieter than the stock h-pipe - Mild power gains over the stock h-pipe - Costs more than comparable x-pipe's - Fitment issues out of the box (*required modification) - Shipped with wrong size clamps *The mid pipe required some modification to fit correctly and resulted in a costlier installation procedure. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

      Emission legal, 60's muscle car sound.

      This product gave my exhaust a deep, heavy tone, and kept me emission legal. In combination with the MAC Boom Tubes, it gave me a loud, muscular sound when accelerating, (like an old school V8 from the 60's), and a mellow tone at highway cruising speed. If your looking for a mid pipe without the raspiness of an x-pipe, you should consider this product. It's a more expensive than a cut and clamp x-pipe, but for the sound I was looking for, it was well worth the money.
