Constructed from high strength 16 gauge 409 stainless steel with a spun stainless steel body and stainless finish, this catalytic converter features mandrel bent tubing for optimized exhaust flow. The single laser fusion weld minimizes leaks, while the compact and low-mass design enhances thermal efficiency. Oxygen sensor ports are precisely located post-converter, and components such as barbed exhaust hangers are crafted from corrosion-resistant 410 stainless steel, delivering durability and longevity.
Installation. The semi-direct fit design ensures a straightforward installation process using the included (2) donut gaskets and proper tools, with no welding required. The converter’s design replicates OEM shape and dimensions confirmed through advanced 3D scanning technology, facilitating a DIY installation with minimal complexity.
Warranty. This catalytic converter comes backed by a limited emissions warranty and a construction warranty to support product longevity and performance.
Application. Designed exclusively for 2000-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 models equipped with the 5.7L V8 engine, this catalytic converter meets all federal EPA emissions standards but is not legal for sale or installation in California, Colorado, or New York due to CARB restrictions.
