Construction and Appearance. Constructed from high-strength 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing, the converter provides exceptional corrosion resistance and durability. It features durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds and includes an aluminized steel heat shield. The clam-shell body is finished in stainless steel, offering a durable OEM-quality appearance and reliable protection against environmental wear.
Installation. Installation requires professional welding as no clamps, hangers, gaskets, or mounting hardware are included. Its compact and lightweight design facilitates installation in confined areas, although some modification and welding are necessary to achieve an optimal fit.
Warranty. This product includes an emissions warranty and a construction warranty, underscoring its quality and reliability.
Application. This catalytic converter offers a universal fit and specifically fits the 1983 Mustang with a 2.3L engine. It is not certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) or New York State.
