Description
Universal Catalytic Converter. The Magnaflow Universal Catalytic Converter; OEM Grade; 3-Inch is designed to control emissions effectively while helping to keep the check engine light off. It provides a replacement solution that fits a broad range of vehicles requiring a straight 3-inch inlet and angled 3-inch outlet pipe connection. This catalytic converter meets or exceeds Federal/EPA emissions requirements for OBDII vehicles with Federal emission systems but is not legal for use in California, Colorado, or New York. The product supports environmental compliance and vehicle performance.
Construction and Appearance. This catalytic converter features a durable stainless steel spun body with 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing offering exceptional corrosion resistance. It is assembled with single laser fusion welds to significantly reduce the possibility of leaks, as well as durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds for enhanced longevity. The stainless steel finish ensures both durability and corrosion protection. Its compact, low-mass design allows for greater thermal efficiency and aids installation in confined areas.
Installation. Installation requires professional welding; no clamps or hangers are included. Welding expertise is necessary to ensure proper fitment and seal. Drilling is neither mentioned nor required.
Warranty. The product includes both emissions and construction warranties, ensuring quality and durability.
Application. This universal catalytic converter is designed to fit a range of vehicles requiring a straight 3-inch inlet and angled 3-inch outlet configuration. While it is compatible with 2011-2014 Mustang V8 5.0L models, it is not specifically confirmed for Mustang Boss 302 models. Customers should verify fitment details for exact vehicle application.
