Description
Performance Flywheel Upgrade. The McLeod Aluminum Flywheel; 6 Bolt is designed to reduce rotational mass and enhance engine response. It replaces the stock flywheel to provide quicker acceleration and improved throttle control, making it ideal for high-performance applications. This flywheel supports higher RPM capabilities critical for racing and performance driving.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from CNC-machined 6061 T6 aluminum, this flywheel features a precision-machined surface for durability and a lightweight design. It includes a replaceable steel friction plate and a hardened 1045 steel ring gear to ensure lasting reliability under extreme conditions. The finish exhibits a clean and professional metallic appearance.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill, with no additional drilling necessary. The flywheel is designed to directly replace the factory unit with attention to proper alignment pins for ease of fitment and secure attachment.
Warranty. This flywheel carries a 90-day limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
Application. Specifically fits the 98-02 5.7L Camaro, ensuring compatibility with the LS1 engine configuration and 6-bolt crankshaft setup. Note that it includes an added .400" spacer face to align clutch position with small and big block Chevy standards.
