      Description

      MMR is pleased to release its new GenX SINGLE Roller secondary chains and Sprockets kit for the 5.0 Coyote engines. In an effort to bridge the gap between our HD replacement chains and our Dual Roller GenX chains MMR has developed a price friendly chain and billet sprocket kit for those guys not competing at the the upper level but needing a chain capable of handling rev limiters and Drag race duty. Dyno tested and rated by MMR up to 2000hp (for applications above this please see MMR Dual Roller Kit PN#467890)Features:* Stronger Pitch Chain with Gigantic Roller Pins and Side plates compared to factory style chains* Heat Treated Billet Steel Secondary Sprockets/Gears* E85 and Methanol resistant steel upper chain guides* Direct Bolt On - Plug and Play Fits:All 2011-2014 5.0 and MMR GenX Coyote applications using camshaft lockouts (MMR brand lockouts are suggested PN# 451557, 451570 or 451518 )NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 2015+ Mustangs*Timing Chains are a wearable item. They should be replaced EVERY racing season. See PN#567891 for replacement chains. To prevent the plastic guide from failing it has been replaced with a metal guide. This creates a metal on metal contact which will result in wear of both the chain and guide. For this reason we suggest this kit for Drag use only.  This item can show  heat discoloration and wear pattern after initial break-in due to metal on metal friction and is no cause for concern. This is a heat treated steel part and moisture or human handling can cause minor surface rust (like a brake rotor), This does not affect performance of the item in ANY way and is no cause for concern.  CHAINS MUST BE SUBMERGED IN OIL PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN ACCELERATED WEAR & FAILURE! Due to extremely tight tolerances of components in this kit, be sure to ALWAYS check clearance  between the gear sprockets and front camshaft cap. Clearance as needed.
