    Have you been enjoying your MRT No-Drill Hood Struts for a few years now? Does it feel like your struts are getting tired and losing their "muscle power" when the hood is up? Well, have no fear - these struts are pressurized gas cylinders and it's merely time to stoke them up.

    Replacement gas cylinders let you restore the performance of older MRT hood struts so they once again offer the stylish performance you expect. After all, who doesn't like the clean appearance an MRT hood strut gives to your vehicle - and it's much easier to work under the hood with that silly prop rod out of the way. MRT offers high-quality Replacement Gas Cylinder Struts exclusively for our trusted customers who have MRT Hood Strut Kits.

    Why to Replace Hood Strut Cylinders

    Eventually, every hood strut gas cylinder tires out. The gas inside will slowly lose pressure to the point where the cylinder can no longer support the hood's weight. Leaks may also develop as the seals wear down or because of corrosion and impacts. Most hood strut cylinders last in the range of five years or 60,000 miles, but it may be less if you frequently open and close the hood. Therefore, you should always be on the lookout for signs of failed hood struts, such as the hood feeling heavier, not staying fully open or closing on its own.

    These Replacement MRT Hood Struts come in a pair (aka two struts) and are a direct replacement for your existing cylinder set. Just select the proper model year for your vehicle and we'll take care of the rest. Like the original struts, they are handcrafted from steel with a powder-coated black finish and a white MRT logo.

    Installation is a do-it-yourself process - all you need is a flathead screwdriver! You can even use the original no-drill hardware, making installation even faster.
