      good boot

thinking this would fit my 95 mustang i ordered it even tho it says 79-93 it was much cheaper then the one made for our years lol, long story short..... i cut a little of the middle out to make it fit over shifter and it works just fine , it would work even better in a foxbody.

      Better than factory

Bought this for my 02 gt and the rubber is thicker than the stock boot which helps to keep noise and heat out. A little bit harder to install because of the thickness but totally worth it.

cheap enough in price and it works.

all ready had an old trim ring laying around so figured I try out this out. Works fine, good seal on the tunnel. and easy to trim to clear aftermarket shifters.

This lower shifter boot is thicker than the stock one. It was easy to install. Once installed I noticed a difference on the level of road noise. I also noticed not as much heat and air was coming up through the shifter hole.

Great Quality.....Bad Intel for Late 80's Early 90's Mustangs

I just completed the installation of a Hurst Billet Shifter in my '92 Mustang GT. It was an excellent opportunity to replace the lower shift boot and the tranny fluid with Royal Purple SyncroMax. The Hurst shifter requires its own boot which is held to the shifter base with a wire tie. This boot protects the shifter mechanism from dirt and water. When I tried to install the new lower boot over the Hurst boot, large gaps opened around the inner edge of the metal frame as the four screws were drawn down. This is NOT a good thing, because the gaps would allow dirt and water to enter above the shift tunnel. The fix......measure the diameter of the Hurst shifter boot base. Trim and remove the smaller top rings of the new lower boot with an EXacto knife. Slide the lower boot over the Hurst boot, and push down so the enlarged top ring fits tightly around the Hurst shifter base. The new lower gasket flange now rests flatly against the floor, and the metal frame can be locked down to form a tight seal.

High quality, great fit and price. Fit perfectly over my Pro 5.0 shifter without having to do any trimming therefore provides a great seal.
