Description
Proven Turbo System. The On3 Performance LSX Swapped Single Turbo System featuring a 70mm cast wheel journal bearing turbo is engineered to support enhanced power output for LSX engine swapped Foxbody Mustangs. This setup offers a reliable and efficient boost solution for enthusiasts aiming to increase horsepower in their 1979 to 1993 Mustang chassis.
Construction and Appearance. Headers are fabricated from thick wall 304 stainless steel tubing measuring 1 3/4 inches, ensuring both durability and optimal exhaust flow. The downpipe is a 3.5 inch stainless steel stepped design, capable of handling up to 1000 horsepower. Cold side piping is crafted from 3 inch 6061 aluminum, bead rolled and polished for strength and an appealing finish. The intercooler piping includes a pre-welded 50mm blow-off valve flange and utilizes premium 5 ply black couplers with stainless steel t-bolt clamps for a secure and leak-free seal.
Installation is designed to be efficient, with compatibility in mind for popular K member options. Some drilling or minor modifications may be required depending on the specific subframe or K member used. Proper selection and verification of compatible K members are recommended to ensure fitment without issues.
Specifically built to fit 1979 to 1993 Foxbody Mustangs with LSX engine swaps, this turbo system may require consideration when used with UPR and QA1 K members due to potential fitment conflicts, but it remains compatible with the stock K member, Team Z, AJE, Maximum Motorsports Kmembers, and UPR adjustable motor mount setups.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 1987 to 1993 Mustangs with LSX engine swaps. Note that the system may encounter fitment complications with UPR and QA1 K members but is compatible with Team Z, AJE, Maximum Motorsports K members, and the stock K member as indicated.
