Complete Turbocharging Solution. The On3 Performance Single Turbo System offers a comprehensive upgrade to boost horsepower and torque on 1986-1993 Mustang GT Cobra 5.0 Foxbody models. This kit allows owners to significantly increase engine output for street or drag applications, providing a balanced combination of power, drivability, and room for future tuning adjustments in boost levels.
Construction and Appearance. The turbo kit includes options for cast and billet turbines with journal and ceramic ball bearing designs to optimize reliability and performance. Components are finished to withstand high heat and stress conditions, and the kit includes professionally welded parts and precision-machined fittings for a reliable installation.
Installation. Installation is moderately straightforward for experienced enthusiasts or professional installers, with the kit designed to bolt on with minimal modifications. Some minor line tweaks are necessary to accommodate existing air conditioning components. Larger intercoolers may require bumper trimming, and selecting an 88mm turbo will require custom downpipe fabrication. No major drilling or cutting is typically necessary beyond these exceptions.
