stock cats?? Is it possible to run this hpipe with stock cats?? THX in advance

  • You will not be able to run this H-pipe with stock cats.

Will I be required to buy anything else to install the long tube headers or can I just buy them and install right away?

  • As long as you are purchasing this PaceSetter offroad H-pipe for/or with the Pacesetter long tube headers, you will only need O2 sensor extensions and a new tune on your vehicle. Other than that, you are good to install these right away!

Is it possible to weld on high flow cats; such as the SLP high flow cats to these so it will pass emissions testing?

  • Sure, with modifications you can really make anything work with your exhaust, so if you wanted to cut the piping off of PaceSetter Offroad H-Pipe (05-10 GT w/ Long Tube Headers) and weld cats on that's definitely a think you can do. Just keep in mind that high flow cats don't pass ALL emissions testing so it's good to do some homework before you weld high flows into your exhaust system.

v6 long tube headers Would pacesetter v6 long tube headers work with this pipe?

  • Unfortunately not, the GT H pipe is going to be a larger diameter piping than the Pacesetter V6 Long tube headers. You will want to purchase the PaceSetter Offroad Y-Pipe (05-10 V6 w/ Long Tube Headers)

V6 pacesetter long tubes Will this H pipe line up correctly if using pacesetter long tube headers for a v6

  • The PaceSetter Offroad H-Pipe is designed for the V8 headers only, and will not be a direct fit for the V6 model with long tube headers. Pacesetter does not currently have a h-pipe for the use of their long tube headers.

Will this meet up to other brands of headers? I have Kooks longtubes and was wondering if this off road h pipe would meet up to my longtubes or are they strictly for the Pacesetter longtubes? Especially since this one is SOOO much cheaper than the Kooks offroad h pipe. 1 answer

    Nice sound

If you are looking for an upgrade in sound, this will definitely increase the volume of your car. You will need to extend the wires to the cats with this midpipe. Easy to install compared to the headers.

We did long tube headers and this H-Pipe. Car sounds amazing now and performance gains are noticeable. If you're handy, this can be installed in your garage,,,no need to pay a professional.

    Worst construction quality ever

I bought this part thinking it would be a perfect fit for my long tube headers; however, when I received the H pipe the welded spots were horrible, there was even one spot that almost had no welding. Honestly, I had never seen an item with such a low construction quality. Would not recommend this item not even to my worst enemy.

    Their H-pipes

Like another reviewer said just put a torch on the end where they meet at the exhaust headers to have them slip on much easier.

    Great product

They sound great, I couldn't ask for a better tone. I have Borla s type axle backs and this gave me the deep aggressive tone I was looking for. Highly recommend. I let a local shop handle the header/midpipe install and took about 8-9 hours.

    Lines right up

H-pipe alignment is spot on. Just put each side on the collector a tad while putting hanger in bracket and then set the "H" portion together and slide pipe into collectors as a whole unit. Set your distance to meet with the mid pipes and clamp. Had a couple spots at collector that were purring but get it warmed up and turn clamp nuts a little more and your good. My first purchase at AM after 3 yrs of looking at catalog. Bought with the Pacesetter long tubes. Yeah the LT,s were time consuming and tedious but you don't have to spend gobs of $$ on other brands for nearly the same result. Used the Ford gaskets and as many of the stock studs I could fit and its airtite Reps at AM are top notch period.

    JUST WHAT I EXPECTED

When i finally got done putting on my pacesetter LTH and O/R H- pipe after a Weekend since i did it my self ( FYI i did it on jack stands so i recommend if you have a lift then use it but saves alot of money doing it your self. Anyways when i finally started my car it blew my mind. i was constantly smiling all i wanted to do after that was just drive and every where i go people looked and it felt great. BTW i also put on The Roush extreme Cat-Back exhaust off road. and the combination between all three = best money ever spent. thank you American muscle.

    Pacesetter

I was skeptical about its cheap price, but when I heard someones stang roar and learned that he got a pacesetter, I knew that the price for the sound is great. But nonetheless I switched to pypes mid pipe just because I only want to have my mid pipe change and not the headers. And pacesetter only offer shorty mid pipe and automatically you need to changed to LT headers too.

    That sound though

I gave it 4 stars on fit and finish because the h-pipe hangs down under the car, about an inch lower at the rear of the H-pipe. Other than that the system sounds amazing. In the morning when I go to work I have to idle down my neighborhood street so I don't wake the neighbors but once I get out on the highway... I'm grinning from ear to ear. I'm an ASE master certified mechanic and all of the techs that I work with say the car sounds perfect. A little rumble at an idle, loud under light acceleration and when I floor it, i'll put it this way, I don't have problems with tailgaters for long.

These with the Pacesetter LTs are perfect. Loud and deep tone, it's truly amazing for the price of these. There's nothing better for the price comparison

You get what you pay for.

The overall product is great. It sounds brutal!!! However the fit and finish isn't there. It isn't the exact specs as specified but is close. I recommend taking it to a shop after you're done and have it welded in place.

    BBK LT's

i had the bbk LT with the x pipe and I didn't like it because of the drone inside and the raspe sound this eliminated both. I have flowmasters for mufflers. I did have to have the LTs cut to fit these but I don't regret it because my exhaust is tucked up more into the car(I have a one piece driveshaft and a moroso safety loop)

    Sounds Great

Purchased this shorty H-Pipe as it is required when using the PaceSetter Long Tube headers. Had an o/r X pipe before and am happy with this swap. The X was way too 'race' sounding and the H really brought back the sound of the old muscle cars. I have this combined with FRPP cams and it turns heads everywhere. You wont be disappointed.

Easy Installation - Take your time to finish these

I received the H-pipe in the mail quickly(thanks AM) - Decided to paint them with VHT high temp header paint. The installation took about 20 minutes. This product is definitely worth the money. Gives you the deep muscle car growl without the rasp, unlike an X-pipe.
