      Review & Installation Video

Plain and simple, if you're looking for one of the easiest and most affordable ways to freshen up the front brakes on your '05 to '14 Non-Brembo GT, then Power Stop's OE Replacement Kit will be the way to go. Now, Power Stop is going to include some brand-new zinc-coated iron rotors here in addition to their ceramic compound pads all for just north of 100 bucks while the install will be extremely straightforward. So let's call it one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter with a little bit more detail to come later in the video. Now, Power Stop does offer a nice assortment of budget pad and rotor kits here on the site ranging from their base stuff, the OE Replacement Kit that we're talking about in this video, all the way down to their Evolution and their Street Warrior kits which will kick in a slightly more aggressive pad along with those slotted and drilled rotors. Now, again, the OE Kit we are focusing in on for this video is very basic. It's a very barebones setup and, as a result, will be super affordable. Again, you're looking at just over a 100 bones here for the front setup with the matching rear set also available on the site for right around 90 bucks. So all in guys, we're looking at 200 bucks or so and you have a fresh pad and rotor setup on your S197 Non-Brembo GT. But if you guys do happen to own one of those Brembo cars, Power Stop does make a similar kit that will fit those Brembo GTs, and you can find that here on the site for a few bucks more. But quickly breaking down some of the components here of the OE Kit from Power Stop. And you are gonna find the G3000 cast iron rotors which have been zinc-plated to help reduce any rust or corrosion over the years. Now, the rotors do measure just over 12.4 inches for the fronts here and have been 100% mill-balanced to prevent any vibration or any inconsistencies. Now, as far as your pads are concerned, well, Power Stop does toss in a relatively basic ceramic compound pad with their OE Replacement Kit which is a great choice for a lot of street cars out there because it's gonna be very low-noise and very low-dust which, let's face it, can't always be said for the more aggressive pads in the category. However, with that said, don't expect a massive improvement in stopping power here with these pads. However, because it will be a fresh setup that will update the tired and worn out components on your S197, it will be an improvement in that regard. Finally, guys, Power Stop does include a 90-day or 3,000-mile warranty with these kits in case you run into any issues. Now, as far as your install is concerned, well, brakes are very basic stuff so that's why I did decide to go one out of three wrenches on the old difficulty meter here and maybe an hour or so from start to finish. Now, if you've done pads and rotors before, you know how easy this can be. Right? Simply, lift and support the front end of the car, remove those wheels, unbolt the caliper from the spindle, replace the pads, swap those rotors and put it all back together again. Now, I know this was a very basic and very quick run-through of what's involved. But the point is here guys, this is very basic stuff that anyone should be able to tackle in their garage or driveway with ease. So wrapping this one up guys, if you're looking for a basic and very affordable kit to freshen up the components on your Non-Brembo S197 GT, then be sure to check out the Power Stop OE Kit right here at americanmuscle.com.

Legos are easier then this... when they fit

Replacement metal gasket dont fit took a while to line the brakes in. Also the thin flimsy hook spring dont stay in place i have one brake drivers front pad floating due to the spring not manufactured right as if the press to lock them down is delicate. Ive put factory breaks on with no issue. May just need to keep local oem shop in business.
