Hey everyone, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com. This is my breakdown of the Power Stop cross drilled and slotted rotor and pad kit available for all 1994 to 2014 Mustangs. Power Stop is a company that specializes in producing quality braking components for a wide variety of applications, all with the goal of increasing your stopping power for a very affordable price. We have had some recent experience with Power Stop's kit on our 2014 GT project car named Project Coyote, and if you guys want, you can click on that link below. You can check out all of our project car builds and also subscribe to our YouTube channel while you're there to check out more in depth detailed product overviews. This particular Power Stop kit, as I mentioned earlier, is available for just about every generation Mustang there is, including the newer Brembo cars, and really is a great bang for your buck mod. With this kit, you do get both the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors in addition to the brand new ceramic pads for the same price other companies are charging just for the front two rotors alone. Now that you know what's included with the kit, let's break down the individual components a little further. As I mentioned earlier, you do get the front and rear rotors, both of which have been cross drilled and slotted. If you're not aware of the benefits of running a cross drilled and slotted rotor, here's the deal. They will actually prevent a little excess heat from building up, and it also reduces some brake fade after a few repetitive hard stops. The rotors have also been silver zinc coated to help prevent any possible rust or corrosion from building up and to ensure that the rotors themselves remain looking good for years to come.Speaking of looking good, it's hard to deny the fact that a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors just look amazing on any car and add a much more aggressive look to the car itself. In fact, don't take my word for it. You can always click on the link below to check out the customer submitted images and reviews of these rotors on our very own customer pages. That way, you get a good look at what these rotors might look like on your very own Mustang. Again, click on the link below to check out the products page, if you're not there already.Moving on to the pads, the Power Stop kit does include the Evolution carbon ceramic brake pad which will help you in a couple of different ways. For starters, that carbon ceramic compound will allow for higher brake temperatures but with less brake fade, increasing your overall stopping power. In addition, these pads will be a little bit more quiet, and they will also produce less brake dust, helping to keep your wheels a lot cleaner.Installing a new set of brakes and rotors on any Mustang is actually a pretty straightforward job that just about any owner should feel confident in tackling using some basic hand tools and a lift or jack. You have to keep in mind, guys, you are tackling all four corners here, so expect to spend about three hours at least, or a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon, in the garage to get everything knocked out.You definitely want to follow the manufacturer's recommended vetting process with the new set of pads and rotors to get the optimal performance and wear out of your setup. If you need more info about this, you can always check out the product page, or do not hesitate to get in touch with one of our award winning customer service agents by phone or by email. If you're looking to upgrade the brakes on your '94 and newer Mustang for a very affordable price, well then you have to check out the Power Stop kit available right here at americanmuscle.com.

These are a very good break and rotor combination and work better than stock, waited awhile to rate them and put actual miles on them first. Takes about 2 1/2 hours, just make sure you have the special tool for the calibers on your Mustang. Also nice to not have rusty stock rotors showing through the wheels. By the way, these cost less than stock replacement from AutoZone!!Helpful (0)

Best bang for your buck!
These were the first major improvement items I installed on my 2010 V6. These things are worth every dime! I had never done a full rotor and brake replacement on a vehicle so my install time was excessively long (daily struggles). These were replacing the stock rotors I had on the vehicle and I intially didn't review because I wanted to make sure I was giving a true assessment of the product, not just an instant answer or a "looks great!". These have been fantastic my V6, stops almost on a dime, they removed wheel wobble that I had adjusted to from a bad rotor, they have been wearing evenly, minimal brake dust after at least 5,00 miles and I drive alot. One major thing I can say is READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, brake the rotors and pads in properly and these will last a long time. Still running strong!Helpful (0)

Top notch at a bargin price
Nice brake kit, everything included and easy to install. Looks good, too. If the old brakes had come apart easier, it would have been a 1 hour install. Haven't had a chance to really wring 'em out, but they seem to work as advertised.Helpful (1)

Improved stopping distance and pedal bite. Work as you would expect performance brakes to. Like others have said, they do look a little small, but they don’t look jokingly small eitherHelpful (0)

My wife is a very aggressive driver ( I won't ride with her)This set of brakes is just what she needed reliable performance stop after stop. They look great on the car and will haul this car down to a stop quickly and safely and with great pedal feel. I now wish I had purchased the red powder coat calipers to go with them.Helpful (0)

Look Great! Stop Great!
If you are replacing your Pads and Rotors, I think it's worth spending the extra money on these Slotted and Drilled Rotors and Ceramic pads. They really look sharp on my 2010 V6 Convertible. I am only giving this a 4 out of 5 stars because there isn't a very noticeable difference in stopping power over the factory Motorcraft Pads and Rotors. While your calipers and brackets are off I recommend getting Caliper paint, It will really draw attention to your nice Rotors! To give backstory, I Bought my car with 60k miles, I have now about 90k, I heard a bit of squeeking and figured it was time to replace my brakes and went with these. After pulling my stock pads and rotors off, I saw I had about 5mm of Pad left which could easily get me through another year before they went Metal to Metal. I hope these ceramic pads last as long as the motorcraft pads!Helpful (0)

I just love these brakes and the edge that they give over the stock, poorly rust protected, brakes. These are even a great install for a college student like me that can't pay a fortune to the prices of mechanics and dealerships.Helpful (0)

Installed these brakes this past weekend. brakes are performing great. Quiet with good stopping power, plus they look phenomenal on my car. Thank you.Helpful (3)
Would i have to buy new calipers for these brake pads or will they fit the stock calipers?
The Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Rotor & Pad Kit, Will fit the stock brake caliper.
I notice that these are significantly less expensive than buying other rotors and pads, is that because they're intended for mainly street use, or can I take them to the track? And will they still be a solid upgrade over stock?
This Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Rotor & Pad Kit can stand up to limited track use, but is designed more for street applications. For track applications, a more aggressive pad material is typically recommended.
why is your page not selling me a set of brake kit for my V6 mustang?
what kind of brake is required?
This kit will include the brake rotor and pads. No additional hardware is required.
What kind of warranty do these come with?
Powerstop does have a warranty on their products and you can find more here: https://www.powerstop.com/warranty/. This kit would have a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.
When installing the Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Rotor and Pad Kit, or any other quality aftermarket rotor, no additional machine work should be required, and these will be good to go after wiping the protective oil off the rotor.
There is only one way to install these which will have the slots facing the correct direction.
The Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Rotor & Pad Kit - Front & Rear (05-10 V6) will not include any brackets. This kit is going to equip your car with slightly larger than stock rotors. I would recommend purchasing another set of these brackets.
This kit replaces original equipment so what every fit before should fit with the new ones
Yes they would fit with any size rims.
