      Review & Installation Video

Hey everyone, I'm Justin with This is my breakdown of the Power Stop cross drilled and slotted rotor and pad kit available for all 1994 to 2014 Mustangs. Power Stop is a company that specializes in producing quality braking components for a wide variety of applications, all with the goal of increasing your stopping power for a very affordable price. We have had some recent experience with Power Stop's kit on our 2014 GT project car named Project Coyote, and if you guys want, you can click on that link below. You can check out all of our project car builds and also subscribe to our YouTube channel while you're there to check out more in depth detailed product overviews. This particular Power Stop kit, as I mentioned earlier, is available for just about every generation Mustang there is, including the newer Brembo cars, and really is a great bang for your buck mod. With this kit, you do get both the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors in addition to the brand new ceramic pads for the same price other companies are charging just for the front two rotors alone. Now that you know what's included with the kit, let's break down the individual components a little further. As I mentioned earlier, you do get the front and rear rotors, both of which have been cross drilled and slotted. If you're not aware of the benefits of running a cross drilled and slotted rotor, here's the deal. They will actually prevent a little excess heat from building up, and it also reduces some brake fade after a few repetitive hard stops. The rotors have also been silver zinc coated to help prevent any possible rust or corrosion from building up and to ensure that the rotors themselves remain looking good for years to come.Speaking of looking good, it's hard to deny the fact that a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors just look amazing on any car and add a much more aggressive look to the car itself. In fact, don't take my word for it. You can always click on the link below to check out the customer submitted images and reviews of these rotors on our very own customer pages. That way, you get a good look at what these rotors might look like on your very own Mustang. Again, click on the link below to check out the products page, if you're not there already.Moving on to the pads, the Power Stop kit does include the Evolution carbon ceramic brake pad which will help you in a couple of different ways. For starters, that carbon ceramic compound will allow for higher brake temperatures but with less brake fade, increasing your overall stopping power. In addition, these pads will be a little bit more quiet, and they will also produce less brake dust, helping to keep your wheels a lot cleaner.Installing a new set of brakes and rotors on any Mustang is actually a pretty straightforward job that just about any owner should feel confident in tackling using some basic hand tools and a lift or jack. You have to keep in mind, guys, you are tackling all four corners here, so expect to spend about three hours at least, or a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon, in the garage to get everything knocked out.You definitely want to follow the manufacturer's recommended vetting process with the new set of pads and rotors to get the optimal performance and wear out of your setup. If you need more info about this, you can always check out the product page, or do not hesitate to get in touch with one of our award winning customer service agents by phone or by email. If you're looking to upgrade the brakes on your '94 and newer Mustang for a very affordable price, well then you have to check out the Power Stop kit available right here at

        Bad pads

Last month got this kit for my 2013 mustang GT/CS ....and what a bad and sad experience,....... just out the box the clip pads fell off, and now my car is sound every where ..... hate it . Now I’m gonna have to go somewhere else to get new pads. Don’t waste your money in this kit.

Brake pads came defective. They squeak really loud when I’m driving. I’m disappointed because I’ve had these brake rotors and pads before and they were good. Maybe it’s just this one time but I’ll look at getting a different setup next time

        Brakes rotors

The rotors look great and installation was easy except for the spring clips that broke off two of the pads, now I have squealing on the front brakes. Very embarrassing pulling into a car show. Disappointed in the pads.

        Great Bang For your Buck!

I was searching for a Pad and Rotor Kit that wouldn’t dent my pockets and to get better brake performance and i got just that! On top of actually improving stopping power these rotors look pretty clean behind the wheels as well, I’ll definitely be buying from Power Stop again. Once again hasnt failed me.

The rotors are nice but i could not use the break pads in the front because the metal clips broke off so i ended up buying different pads.

Rotors back brakes great Front pads not so good.

Everything would get a 5 star except the front pads. The original pad spring clip is held on its stud by peening the head and it holds well. The NEW pads has a soft stainless washer peened on the stud and it pops off with the slights pressure. I ended up tig welding a washer on the stud. took an extra hour till you find, trim and grind but wasn't going to go through sending them back.

Fitment with mgp calipers Will these rotors or brake pads cause the mgp caliper covers to not fit?

      • I have installed this kit and used the MGP caliper covers. I am having no issues and the covers bolted up no differently than they did with the factory items.

Thinking of getting this kit, however is there any reason that these would not work for the V6 models as well? I believe the fitment is the same?

      • This Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Rotor & Pad Kit is designed for the GT models only due to the rotor size difference from the GT to the V6 models. Power Stop does offer a Z23 kit specifically for the V6 models, which we do currently carry, item 53456.
