    Hey everyone, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com. This is my breakdown of the Power Stop cross drilled and slotted rotor and pad kit available for all 1994 to 2014 Mustangs. Power Stop is a company that specializes in producing quality braking components for a wide variety of applications, all with the goal of increasing your stopping power for a very affordable price. This particular Power Stop kit, as I mentioned earlier, is available for just about every generation Mustang there is, including the newer Brembo cars, and really is a great bang for your buck mod. With this kit, you do get both the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors in addition to the brand new ceramic pads for the same price other companies are charging just for the front two rotors alone. Now that you know what's included with the kit, let's break down the individual components a little further. As I mentioned earlier, you do get the front and rear rotors, both of which have been cross drilled and slotted. If you're not aware of the benefits of running a cross drilled and slotted rotor, here's the deal. They will actually prevent a little excess heat from building up, and it also reduces some brake fade after a few repetitive hard stops. The rotors have also been silver zinc coated to help prevent any possible rust or corrosion from building up and to ensure that the rotors themselves remain looking good for years to come. Speaking of looking good, it's hard to deny the fact that a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors just look amazing on any car and add a much more aggressive look to the car itself. Moving on to the pads, the Power Stop kit does include the Evolution carbon ceramic brake pad which will help you in a couple of different ways. For starters, that carbon ceramic compound will allow for higher brake temperatures but with less brake fade, increasing your overall stopping power. In addition, these pads will be a little bit more quiet, and they will also produce less brake dust, helping to keep your wheels a lot cleaner. Installing a new set of brakes and rotors on any Mustang is actually a pretty straightforward job that just about any owner should feel confident in tackling using some basic hand tools and a lift or jack. You have to keep in mind, guys, you are tackling all four corners here, so expect to spend about three hours at least, or a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon, in the garage to get everything knocked out. You definitely want to follow the manufacturer's recommended vetting process with the new set of pads and rotors to get the optimal performance and wear out of your setup.         Do you need to buy the Power Stop calipers to use this kit? or will the stock calipers work? 2014 V6 base. Also I have been reading about clips popping off or breaking, why is that occurring?

        Sadly my car is parked out side in the elements and it rains a lot in the winter. My stock rotors will get rust on them and it will then get onto the rims. And I have to clean the rims quite often. Will this happen with these brakes?

        • These are silver zinc plated to resist rust, but you may still experience some surface rust.

            Great OEM Replacement

            took longer than expected to break these brakes in but once they were seated properly they brake noticeably better than the OEM brakes on my 2012 v6 premium performance package

            if you're driving a "V6 performance package automatic", you have to get the GT Rotors for the front brakes.

            Best brakes i bought so far

            They were easy to install and came with everything you need to install. Definitely better than the ones you would buy at the auto parts store. I did my researching and priced new brakes with my auto parts store accounts and saved over 100 dollars just by ordering these

            Great product at a great price

            These brakes are great.. but there no Brembo or wilwoods. If you have the money go for them. If you want something that will still perform well at a cheaper cost these are your brakes.

            Pad clips popped off

            Clips keeping the pad off the rotor popped off. Went to customer support and they sent a new box. All of the replacement pads had the same problem. I’m using an old pad instead now.

            really nice

            i do not really use my brakes much (140k and still 20 on stock pads and rotors) but i can defiantly feel a difference. my brakes are more responsive and stops a lot slower. installs wasn't hard at all very straight forward. plus they look mean as F when they are installed and the rotors are visible.

            Sturdy, safe and easy on the eyes.

            I just had a friend help me install these. The installation was simple enough. Make sure you have the caliper/piston press. Especially for the rear brakes. They feel so much better than my old brakes and the rotors look so good. I'd recommend these if your'e looking for an inexpensive mod that looks good and increased stopping performance, this is the kit for you.

            They are okay

            They are decent. The springs on the front brakes continually break and not as strong as OEM and that is what sucks about them the most, poor craftmanship tbh. Brakes work good and rotors look nice.

            Looks Great

            They look great and are nice and quiet. I'm not sure if I notice much stopping improvement over the stock set, but I'm sure it's there. For the price you can't go wrong. Took me a little longer to put them on since I had never done it before, but otherwise fit pretty nicely.

            Decent, but not the best.

            the brakes do not squeal in any kind of way, however, I did get 2 warped calipers and rotors on the front. They were great about getting them warrantied out, but my car was down for a few days. I bought these to improve my look, but all in all, I should have bought more expensive ones from this site. The hardware kept popping off (the hooks)

            Better Stopping For the Buck

            Bought this kit because I still had factory rotors and pads on the car and want better braking. The Kit had everything I need to replace the old stock equipment. Plus buying it as a complete kit left the guess work out and was way cheaper than my local part store want to just replace with standard equipment.
