    Hey everyone, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com. This is my breakdown of the Power Stop cross drilled and slotted rotor and pad kit available for all 1994 to 2014 Mustangs. Power Stop is a company that specializes in producing quality braking components for a wide variety of applications, all with the goal of increasing your stopping power for a very affordable price. We have had some recent experience with Power Stop's kit on our 2014 GT project car named Project Coyote, and if you guys want, you can click on that link below. This particular Power Stop kit, as I mentioned earlier, is available for just about every generation Mustang there is, including the newer Brembo cars, and really is a great bang for your buck mod. With this kit, you do get both the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors in addition to the brand new ceramic pads for the same price other companies are charging just for the front two rotors alone. Now that you know what's included with the kit, let's break down the individual components a little further. As I mentioned earlier, you do get the front and rear rotors, both of which have been cross drilled and slotted. If you're not aware of the benefits of running a cross drilled and slotted rotor, here's the deal. They will actually prevent a little excess heat from building up, and it also reduces some brake fade after a few repetitive hard stops. The rotors have also been silver zinc coated to help prevent any possible rust or corrosion from building up and to ensure that the rotors themselves remain looking good for years to come. Speaking of looking good, it's hard to deny the fact that a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors just look amazing on any car and add a much more aggressive look to the car itself. Moving on to the pads, the Power Stop kit does include the Evolution carbon ceramic brake pad which will help you in a couple of different ways. For starters, that carbon ceramic compound will allow for higher brake temperatures but with less brake fade, increasing your overall stopping power. In addition, these pads will be a little bit more quiet, and they will also produce less brake dust, helping to keep your wheels a lot cleaner. Installing a new set of brakes and rotors on any Mustang is actually a pretty straightforward job that just about any owner should feel confident in tackling using some basic hand tools and a lift or jack. You have to keep in mind, guys, you are tackling all four corners here, so expect to spend about three hours at least, or a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon, in the garage to get everything knocked out. You definitely want to follow the manufacturer's recommended vetting process with the new set of pads and rotors to get the optimal performance and wear out of your setup.       Good, not great.

      I had the grind the rear pad ears in order for them to fit into the calipers. It took me over an hour to figure out that the pads wouldn't fit without being modified. The modification wasn't a big deal, I took millimeters off the ears with grinder wheel. Once that was done on one side, the other side took a lot less time. The fronts were good as is.

      Pretty good

      I had the Power Stop Z23 kit installed on my 97 cobra.The front passenger pad was defective. One of the circular prongs collapsed while trying to push it into the caliper. I called American Muscle and they refunded me for the front pad. Overall The Z23 has pretty good stopping power. I would recommend it others.

      Not fitting right

      So I bought this brakes kit like 2 months ago and I still cant finish working on the rear passenger side. Somehow the rotor is rubbing the braket of the caliper. And I dont know if the rotor is bad or what but I cant find a solution. But everything fits great.

      Slight problem.

      I still have my car on jack stands lol. But I ran into a slight problem. The rear rotors are little bigger than stock. So I can’t put the brakes back together. The bracket that holds the two brake pads doesn’t reach the two bolts to hold the bracket in place. Soooo... idk lol. But the fronts fits perfectly.

      Looks great and easy to install

      The product looks great and was very easy to install. Took about 3 hours working by myself in the garage. Would have been easier and quicker but I was unfamiliar with the tool used to push in the pistons for the rear brake calipers.

      Well mannered but still performance oriented!!!

      I bought these brakes for a customer's car. I also run Power Stop brakes on ALL of my personal cars. Installation is straightforward and the kit is very well packaged for ease of installation and everything is labeled accordingly. After installation I followed the brake bedding procedure. After a cool down following the bedding I took the car for a quick drive through town. These brakes are very well mannered under normal braking conditions and when required, they performed flawlessly under extreme braking conditions!!!! There is no fade, no pedal softness, no squeal, and they aren't grabby!! These are most definitely the best bang-for-your-buck brakes you can buy!!! Good job Power Stop!!!!

      I would give it 5 stars but the slider tabs on the rear pads were a little to long and required either A. grinding or B. replacing them. I chose option A. Otherwise I really like them so far.

      Great value brake kit!

      Great replacement for OEM brakes. Excellent value and look awesome. The stopping power is adequate but not great. They are quiet and have no noticeable dust.

      Good brakes

      Got these for my Mach 1. Only complaint is the front brake pads being to long and not fitting the calipers. Went to autozone and got a OE replacement and fit perfectly. Other than that. Stops amazing and looks better than my burnt out rotors

      Love these brakes

      Probably the best thing I've purchased for my Cobra to date. Car stops on a dime, no fading, squeeling, etc. These brakes with the Rovos Pretoria wheels have been great purchases and I would recommend them to anyone.

      Great brake kit

      Ordered this kit to get my 98 cobra braking right, previous owner put standard, non slotted rotors on, I've had the car a year. Everything came this is needed in the box. Make sure you get a rear brake rotor compressor, AutoZone lends them with deposit. A C clamp won't work. The rears are twist in brakes. The pads are ceramic carbon fiber, so there is a small break in procedure that's fun. Basically getting your brakes hot as possible, and never coming to a stop 10 times. A friend a street over put this kit on his cobra, still no rust on it, that's what sold me. I hated to cover them up with wheels and tires. They stop great, with no fade, and from any speed. Install was fast and easy. My one front rotor was frozen on, hammer wouldn't budge it. If u have that problem, check YouTube for a trick using two bolts and nuts through the caliper mounts, worked like a charm
