    Review & Install Video

Hey everyone, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com. This is my breakdown of the Power Stop cross drilled and slotted rotor and pad kit available for all 1994 to 2014 Mustangs. Power Stop is a company that specializes in producing quality braking components for a wide variety of applications, all with the goal of increasing your stopping power for a very affordable price. We have had some recent experience with Power Stop's kit on our 2014 GT project car named Project Coyote, and if you guys want, you can click on that link below. You can check out all of our project car builds and also subscribe to our YouTube channel while you're there to check out more in depth detailed product overviews. This particular Power Stop kit, as I mentioned earlier, is available for just about every generation Mustang there is, including the newer Brembo cars, and really is a great bang for your buck mod. With this kit, you do get both the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors in addition to the brand new ceramic pads for the same price other companies are charging just for the front two rotors alone. Now that you know what's included with the kit, let's break down the individual components a little further. As I mentioned earlier, you do get the front and rear rotors, both of which have been cross drilled and slotted. If you're not aware of the benefits of running a cross drilled and slotted rotor, here's the deal. They will actually prevent a little excess heat from building up, and it also reduces some brake fade after a few repetitive hard stops. The rotors have also been silver zinc coated to help prevent any possible rust or corrosion from building up and to ensure that the rotors themselves remain looking good for years to come. Speaking of looking good, it's hard to deny the fact that a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors just look amazing on any car and add a much more aggressive look to the car itself. In fact, don't take my word for it. You can always click on the link below to check out the customer submitted images and reviews of these rotors on our very own customer pages. That way, you get a good look at what these rotors might look like on your very own Mustang. Again, click on the link below to check out the products page, if you're not there already. Moving on to the pads, the Power Stop kit does include the Evolution carbon ceramic brake pad which will help you in a couple of different ways. For starters, that carbon ceramic compound will allow for higher brake temperatures but with less brake fade, increasing your overall stopping power. In addition, these pads will be a little bit more quiet, and they will also produce less brake dust, helping to keep your wheels a lot cleaner. Installing a new set of brakes and rotors on any Mustang is actually a pretty straightforward job that just about any owner should feel confident in tackling using some basic hand tools and a lift or jack. You have to keep in mind, guys, you are tackling all four corners here, so expect to spend about three hours at least, or a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon, in the garage to get everything knocked out. You definitely want to follow the manufacturer's recommended vetting process with the new set of pads and rotors to get the optimal performance and wear out of your setup. If you need more info about this, you can always check out the product page, or do not hesitate to get in touch with one of our award winning customer service agents by phone or by email. If you're looking to upgrade the brakes on your '94 and newer Mustang for a very affordable price, well then you have to check out the Power Stop kit available right here at americanmuscle.com.

More Stopping Power. Give your S197 Mustang the stopping power it deserves with the addition of Power Stop Evolution Cross-Drilled and Slotted Front Rotors. Power Stop makes upgrading components of your brake system easy by practicing precise machining and casting of their brake rotors. All of Power Stop's Rotors have been mill balanced for a perfect fit and to reduce the chance of any unwanted NVH.

Cross-Drilled and Slotted Rotors. Power Stop Rotors offer you dual benefits. The drilled holes allow for up to 180 degrees of cooling over stock under hard braking and slots, which create a clear contact patch between your pad and rotor and are designed to sweep away gas and dust. Power Stop Rotors are crafted from the finest blanks on the market and feature G3000 grade castings that have been silver zinc plated to resist rust.

Application. This front pair of Power Stop Evolution Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors are specifically designed for use on 2005-2010 GT and Bullitt as well as 2011-2014 V6 Mustangs.

Are these rotors stock size or larger, I am looking for the largest front and rear rotors that will fit on a 2006 gt stock size wheels.

    JohnH

    • The Power Stop Evolution Cross-Drilled & Slotted Rotors will be the stock size for rotors. To increase the size of your rotors, you will need a big brake kit with new calipers/caliper mounting brackets to clear the larger rotors, or a big brake kit with monoblock calipers.

      Absolutely Amazing!

When I say trust me when I tell you this product is great, believe me. These rotors have been through my personal test, of stopping from 140mph-0mph without any warping, multiple times. (Was planning to get other rotors, as this purchase was a mistake. But wanted to try them out). If plan to get rotors for your 05-10 GT, these are must. Thank you AM!

      You've Got The Power!!!!

First and for most these things are very underrated !!!! The stopping power is nothing short of amazing !!! It took me a week just to get use to how responsive they are. Just tap the brake an immediately they grab. There are also to other bonuses of buying these things, the first is the price.Great bang for your buck. The second bonus is the look, they look great!!!!!! I highly recommend these babies!!!!

      Great Brakes

No more brake fade. That's all. I love it! I didn't get new pads (yet) so I have yet to experience much of an increase in stopping power, but the brake fade (or lack thereof) is incredible when I take her to the track or on mountain roads. Definitely worth the money.

      Hold On Tight!

To be honest I bought these rotors just for the look. Ever since I was little I loved to see drilled and slotted rotors on any car. I think it made the care look 10x better. I installed these on my car which took me 30 min per wheel. After installation, and as soon as I took it out for a test drive, I could instantly feel power these rotors give off. The braking power is incredible! It is amazing to see the difference a drilled and slotted rotor can give rather than a plain stock pair. I love these rotors and couldn't be any happier. Thank you American Muscle!!!

Good buy for a simple upgrade!

My stock rotors all around were warped and at the machine limit, I ordered these as replacements for the front and rear and it defiantly feels like an improvement! Smooth and quick braking. there is a little bit of break in noise but nothing you wouldnt expect from brand new parts. I recommend these for a simple upgrade!

      Love the look

I've owned these for over a year and they have added great stopping power, and look amazing. On the downside I've started experiencing brake shudder and my mechanic said my rotors are warped. Expected these rotors to not last as long as OEM, but expected a longer life.

These rotors are lightyears better than the stock rotors and come through with great braking power. It gives me a lot more confidence when I do some spirited driving on mountain roads.

Looking like a muscle car now

It was a bit of a challenge to figure out the right rotors for my Mustang, which is a 2008 V6 with 18" wheels. I think the wheel size is why the regular V6 rotors were too small. So if you have this configuration of Mustang, these are the rotors for you. The price can't be beat. They look awesome and they break great. Fantastic bang for the buck.

      Huge difference in wet conditions

The stopping power on these is considerably better than stock. Not as noticeable in dry conditions but I really noticed a huge difference in the rain, especially when I first start driving before they've had the chance to warm up. Great bang for the buck, installation isn't too difficult and you'll probably save around $400-500 by putting them on yourself. Plus, they don't rust out and look terrible like the stock ones do.

Power Stop rotors with ceramic brake pads

Stopping power is greatly improved. Some break-in period is required for full stopping power. It looks very nice too and completes the look in my car. In a word, awesome!
