Hey everyone, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com. This is my breakdown of the Power Stop cross drilled and slotted rotor and pad kit available for all 1994 to 2014 Mustangs. Power Stop is a company that specializes in producing quality braking components for a wide variety of applications, all with the goal of increasing your stopping power for a very affordable price. We have had some recent experience with Power Stop's kit on our 2014 GT project car named Project Coyote, and if you guys want, you can click on that link below. You can check out all of our project car builds and also subscribe to our YouTube channel while you're there to check out more in depth detailed product overviews. This particular Power Stop kit, as I mentioned earlier, is available for just about every generation Mustang there is, including the newer Brembo cars, and really is a great bang for your buck mod. With this kit, you do get both the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors in addition to the brand new ceramic pads for the same price other companies are charging just for the front two rotors alone. Now that you know what's included with the kit, let's break down the individual components a little further. As I mentioned earlier, you do get the front and rear rotors, both of which have been cross drilled and slotted. If you're not aware of the benefits of running a cross drilled and slotted rotor, here's the deal. They will actually prevent a little excess heat from building up, and it also reduces some brake fade after a few repetitive hard stops. The rotors have also been silver zinc coated to help prevent any possible rust or corrosion from building up and to ensure that the rotors themselves remain looking good for years to come.Speaking of looking good, it's hard to deny the fact that a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors just look amazing on any car and add a much more aggressive look to the car itself. In fact, don't take my word for it. You can always click on the link below to check out the customer submitted images and reviews of these rotors on our very own customer pages. That way, you get a good look at what these rotors might look like on your very own Mustang. Again, click on the link below to check out the products page, if you're not there already.Moving on to the pads, the Power Stop kit does include the Evolution carbon ceramic brake pad which will help you in a couple of different ways. For starters, that carbon ceramic compound will allow for higher brake temperatures but with less brake fade, increasing your overall stopping power. In addition, these pads will be a little bit more quiet, and they will also produce less brake dust, helping to keep your wheels a lot cleaner.Installing a new set of brakes and rotors on any Mustang is actually a pretty straightforward job that just about any owner should feel confident in tackling using some basic hand tools and a lift or jack. You have to keep in mind, guys, you are tackling all four corners here, so expect to spend about three hours at least, or a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon, in the garage to get everything knocked out.You definitely want to follow the manufacturer's recommended vetting process with the new set of pads and rotors to get the optimal performance and wear out of your setup. If you need more info about this, you can always check out the product page, or do not hesitate to get in touch with one of our award winning customer service agents by phone or by email. If you're looking to upgrade the brakes on your '94 and newer Mustang for a very affordable price, well then you have to check out the Power Stop kit available right here at americanmuscle.com.
More Stopping Power. Enhance the stopping power of your Pony by upgrading to a set of Power Stop Evolution Cross-Drilled and Slotted Front Rotors. Power Stop makes upgrading components of your brake system easy by practicing precise machining and casting of their brake rotors. All of Power Stop's Rotors have been mill balanced for a perfect fit and to reduce the chance of any unwanted NVH.
Cross-Drilled and Slotted Rotors. Power Stop Rotors offer you dual benefits. The drilled holes allow for up to 180 degrees of cooling over stock under hard braking and slots, which create a clear contact patch between your pad and rotor and are designed to sweep away gas and dust. Power Stop Rotors are crafted from the finest blanks on the market and feature G3000 grade castings that have been silver zinc plated to resist rust.
Application. This front pair of Power Stop Evolution Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors are specifically designed for use on 1994-2004 Bullitt, Mach 1 and Cobra Mustangs. Not compatible with GT or V6 models.
As the subject suggests, be careful buying/installing these rotors for track use. I used these for my track car and after 2 sessions, I have cracks in the rotor. I would possibly recommend for street use but don't have sufficient experience on them to advise such a thing.

Great value for the money!
Look good on car. Work fine. No brake fade yet. Casting on the backside Looks kinda cheap in my opinion. Rotors come labeled for drivers and passengers side, which was nice. I figured for the $ I would take a chance on them. Looks aggressive.
I installed these cross drilled and slotted rotors front and rear of my cobra paired with some ceramic/carbon fiber pads and after the break in, my car stops on a dime! Love them and the price is phenomenal to match the performance. Highly recommend these to anyone who wants more performance for less money.
I bought Power Stop Rear Calipers, Extreme Z26 Carbon Ceramic Pads and these rotors for my 99 Cobra. I highly recommend them for the price. Very Noticeable improvement over stock if paired with Z26 Extreme Carbon Ceramic Pads!

Do not rust
One of my biggest pet peeves is rusty brake rotors, Ive had these on my Mach 1 for over a year now and still look brand new, they do not rust. Also good stopping power and so far haven't warped under heavy braking. Good quality rotors
Would I need special brake pads to run with these?
You will not need specific pads to run with these rotors, however I would suggest sticking PowerStop pads on these rotors as they are made to work in unison. Going with another brand may not wear the pads and rotors evenly as the friction between them can cause them to react differently.
