Hey everyone, I'm Justin with This is my breakdown of the Power Stop cross drilled and slotted rotor and pad kit available for all 1994 to 2014 Mustangs. Power Stop is a company that specializes in producing quality braking components for a wide variety of applications, all with the goal of increasing your stopping power for a very affordable price. We have had some recent experience with Power Stop's kit on our 2014 GT project car named Project Coyote, and if you guys want, you can click on that link below. You can check out all of our project car builds and also subscribe to our YouTube channel while you're there to check out more in depth detailed product overviews. This particular Power Stop kit, as I mentioned earlier, is available for just about every generation Mustang there is, including the newer Brembo cars, and really is a great bang for your buck mod. With this kit, you do get both the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors in addition to the brand new ceramic pads for the same price other companies are charging just for the front two rotors alone. Now that you know what's included with the kit, let's break down the individual components a little further. As I mentioned earlier, you do get the front and rear rotors, both of which have been cross drilled and slotted. If you're not aware of the benefits of running a cross drilled and slotted rotor, here's the deal. They will actually prevent a little excess heat from building up, and it also reduces some brake fade after a few repetitive hard stops. The rotors have also been silver zinc coated to help prevent any possible rust or corrosion from building up and to ensure that the rotors themselves remain looking good for years to come. Speaking of looking good, it's hard to deny the fact that a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors just look amazing on any car and add a much more aggressive look to the car itself. In fact, don't take my word for it. You can always click on the link below to check out the customer submitted images and reviews of these rotors on our very own customer pages. That way, you get a good look at what these rotors might look like on your very own Mustang. Again, click on the link below to check out the products page, if you're not there already. Moving on to the pads, the Power Stop kit does include the Evolution carbon ceramic brake pad which will help you in a couple of different ways. For starters, that carbon ceramic compound will allow for higher brake temperatures but with less brake fade, increasing your overall stopping power. In addition, these pads will be a little bit more quiet, and they will also produce less brake dust, helping to keep your wheels a lot cleaner. Installing a new set of brakes and rotors on any Mustang is actually a pretty straightforward job that just about any owner should feel confident in tackling using some basic hand tools and a lift or jack. You have to keep in mind, guys, you are tackling all four corners here, so expect to spend about three hours at least, or a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon, in the garage to get everything knocked out. You definitely want to follow the manufacturer's recommended vetting process with the new set of pads and rotors to get the optimal performance and wear out of your setup. If you need more info about this, you can always check out the product page, or do not hesitate to get in touch with one of our award winning customer service agents by phone or by email. If you're looking to upgrade the brakes on your '94 and newer Mustang for a very affordable price, well then you have to check out the Power Stop kit available right here at

More Stopping Power. Enhance the stopping power of your Bullitt, Mach 1 or Cobra by upgrading your rotors to a set of Power Stop Evolution Cross-drilled and Slotted Rear Rotors. Power Stop makes upgrading components of your brake system easy by practicing precise machining and casting of their brake rotors. All of Power Stop's Rotors have been mill balanced for a perfect fit and to reduce the chance of any unwanted NVH.

Cross-Drilled and Slotted Rotors. Power Stop Rotors offer you dual benefits. The drilled holes allow for up to 180 degrees of cooling over stock under hard braking and slots, which create a clear contact patch between your pad and rotor and are designed to sweep away gas and dust. Power Stop Rotors are crafted from the finest blanks on the market and feature G3000 grade castings that have been silver zinc plated to resist rust.

Application. This rear pair of Power Stop Evolution Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors are specifically designed for use on 1994-2004 Bullitt, Mach 1 and Cobra Mustangs. Will not fit GT or V6 models.

            Brake pads

Has these installed on my 97 cobra..The Front passenger pad was defective. I had to repace that one pad. I called American Muscle and they took care of it. Overall the brakes and rotors work Great.

            Manufacturers defect

Defective rotor. Ordered powerstop front, rear rotors and front, rear brake pads from AM. Installed them which was fine, but after driving I had an awful grinding noise from the passenger rear side. Took apart, cleaned more and replaced. Still noisy. Took the car to Ford and they said the rotor was too thick for factory spec. Had to fight Powerstop for a replacement rotor (as mine is gouged and garbage) said they'd overnight it and here we are a few days later with nothing to show. Sucks cause I have no secondary transportation. Should of paid the extra $ for a better company and product. Will update if I receive a better rotor. I guess if it's worth anything, the other 3 are ok, plus they look good.

Love these brakes for my 03 cobra, they fit great and stop on a dime now. The only problem with these is they get very loud when your braking from speeds of 140 mph, like really loud! other than that they make no noise and look fantastic behind my wheels! You must follow the break in procedure in order for these brakes to last you a long time!

            Top notch

No brake dust, smooth, zero fade. I’m a frequent scca racer and oval track competitor. These fit the bill for improving my Mach 1’s stock brakes. Another plus, no rust, and living on the coast of Virginia it would be unsightly. I’ve hade them on for about 2500 miles now. The integral parking brake on the rear was a pita to get the caliper piston pushed back in but that was it!

When the stock brakes on my Mach 1 started to feel a bit aged, I came to AM to order this kit. A NICE LEAP ABOVE STOCK. Had to wait to order since they were out of stock but it was worth the wait. If you are needing new brakes then order fast before they run out of stock again!
