Good quality kit, additonal mods required
Kit install itself was pretty easy. The procharger pulley sits VERY close to the aternator even after proper clocking and bracket adjustment etc. Only compaint is one support bracket out of threaded rod and locking bolts that presses against the back of the procharger right at the top of the engine. I feel like prcharger could have machined something a bit nicer as a solution to this especially since its visible right at the very top. Great gains as long as supporting mods and a good tune are in place.Helpful (1)

This is a very involved install. Make sure you follow the directions to the letter. From taking your gas tank out to change the fuel pump to cutting and grinding to make things fit. Had a great time working through the install with the old man. At the end of the day it was totally worth the time and effort. This kit really makes the 2 valve come alive. I couldn't imagine running with out it. From the sound to the power it makes. Getting some serious smiles per gallon.Helpful (35)

I LOVE my Procharger on my 2002 Mustang GT! Putting down 412 RWHP and 419 FT LBS of torque on a moderate tune right now I couldn't be happier! Installation was a huge pain In my butt lol there was plenty of blood sweat tears and swear words involved, but it was so much more worth it in the end! The tune that it comes with from diablosport does run a little bit lean, so I would make sure before you buy the kit that you can take it up to have it Dyno tuned soon after the install. Also, the fuel pump that is included in this kit is a little bit better than the stock pump, but it still does not do the job that is required from the 39# injectors that come in the kit as well. So buy a Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump to make sure that the engine is getting the required ammount of fuel it needs. ALSO, the kit isn't just drop in and go. At least on my car, there were some very tight fits that needed to be grinded down or cut off, etc. it's not a very easy job! Just keep that in mind. But overall, I seriously could not be happier! Totally worth the money, and I wiould defiantly recommend it to anybody looking to boost their New Edge GT.Helpful (44)

how much hp will this supercharger add? an number not 70%
70% of 260 bud
Should I get my engine rebuilt before installing this? I have a 2001 GT, it's got 134,000 miles on it but theres nothing wrong with it and it hasn't been driven hard. Would it be a good idea to get my engine rebuilt first?
I think that you should probably have a few things checked like compression in the cylinders and a leak down test to see what condition the valves and guides are in.If there is a weak spot the super charger will find it. The rings and rod bearings take the brunt of the increased force as does the head gasket. If your engine is as tight as you say it is you may be ok. But check to be sure.
I am confused about something, I read" "Designed for Stock Applications Only" and "If you have the desire to continue modding your Mustang even after adding a ProCharger Supercharger, then this is the Kit for you. This Stage II kit will accommodate additional modifications as you continue to transform your Mustang into the highest horsepower beast possible." This is contradicting, how can you add mods if this was designed for stock application only?
The Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System is designed to work with stock, and close to stock applications, but has the capability of supporting additional modifications. installing additional modifications will require a dyno tune, and depending on what modifications are added, fuel system upgrades may also be required.
I have a 2002 stage 2 Roush gt, is this supercharger going to be able to be put on? I know that the stage 2 doesn’t do much engine work other than the cold air induction and is more of a suspension upgrade and side exhaust, but after seeing that it works best with stock i have no clue haha
The Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System will physically install onto the Stage 2 Roush Mustang, but we recommend contacting Procharger to ensure they can offer a tune for your Roush.
supercharger do i need to remove my underdrive pulleys and go back to stock To install this supercharger
Absolutely! The underdrive is a plus when NA. But, when SC the UDPs are a negative as the blower spins slower. Plus the tune included is assuming that at a certain RPM and the provided pulley on the SC you are making at an approximate boost level. Also, the included belt assumes a stock engine damper/pulley. Put the stock pulley back on and sell your UDPs on Ebay. That's what I did when i went FI. By the way you will LOVE this centri blower. Makes boost linearly and is very easy to control vs the roots type. Easier on the internals. Better mileage, too. Good luck on your choice!
Nitrous Oxide can be used in forced induction systems to further cool the air in the intake track. It will depend on the amount of boost and the shot of nitrous you plan to use, and that would be something that will also depend on the supporting modifications on your vehicle. We would highly recommend speaking to your tuner regarding your specific application for details.
The Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger Kit (99-04 GT) is designed to work with a stock 1999-2004 Mustang GT. The supplied Procharger tune is not compatible with aftermarket modifications. Installing this kit on a stock vehicle will still require use of the Procharger tune.
The Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger Kit will fit a standard Saleen S281, but will not work with the S281SC, S281C or S281E.
The Complete Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System installed on a fully otherwise stock 99'-04' GT Mustang will pass SMOG due to the products CARB EO Certification.
While this Complete Supercharger Kit is designed to be used on stock applications and you should be good to go, however having it inspected prior to purchase would be a wise idea.
The debate between centrifugal superchargers and twin screw is one that will never really go away, as both have advantages and disadvantages and work better for different people. The simplest explanation is that a twin screw will build boost much more quickly, giving near instantaneous boost at any RPM and provides a tremendous amount of power down low that a centrifugal supercharger just cant match. On the flip side, a centrifugal supercharger will have much better efficiency at higher RPMs, and typically will have less parasitic draw. A twin screw supercharger is excellent for a street going Mustang, that doesn't see the track as often, however, as a rule of thumb, a centrifugal supercharger will perform better at the track, though with the large number of superchargers available, made for a number of horsepower ranges and price points, we can see this vary some. Supercharger selection will boil down to your personal needs and preferences.
Without knowing what was rebuilt, and the condition of your Engine and Transmission, we would be unable to tell how it would hold up to the Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System. We recommend having a qualified mechanic check out the engine and transmission to see if they will be up to the task.
We highly recommend mechanical expertise or professional installation at a shop for the installation of this Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System.
The Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System will work with both automatics and manual models.
Hello, Unfortunately the Procharger Stage II Intercooled Supercharger System is not compatible with the 2001 4.6L Crown Victoria
