Reading the customer reviews, as late as May 2015 people are commenting of the poor/incorrect installation instructions. Is AM doing anything about this for those who don't have the diagnostic skills as some of the commenters?

    • Even if the instructions that come with the lights are bad AM has a guide with pictures making the install pretty simple

Are these lights bright? I am currently using stock with black tint that makes it impossible to pass safety inspection. Just making sure these will.

    • These lights are indeed bright, and meet DOT headlight requirements for safety inspections.

I'm thinking of getting a set of these, what size is the actually bulb my, guess would be h1 high and low? My reason for asking is I don't want to run with the halogen planning on led, but upon looking as the back of this I'm not sure if a led bulb with the cooling fan has room to fit and work correct. Can you tell me for sure?

    • The Axial Black Projector Headlights - Dual LED Halo (99-04 All) use H1 bulbs for both the low and high beams bulbs. These lights also re-use the factory side marker bulbs.

Just purchased these... they look great... but; the instructions that I received basically say ‘connect white wire with white wire and black wire with ground’ but there are three sets of white and black wires. And to top it off, there are no install instructions on the product page. I’ve spoken with two Mustang Professionals and I was told that the instructions should’ve been on the product page and that something was wrong. :/ 1 answer

      Great lights, terrible instructions.

Black wires go to positive, white wires go to negative. That was honestly the hardest part to figure out, after that it was easy. No instructions in box and hard to find online.

      Headlights

Good overall product for the money. Instructions are wrong. LED and Halo are wired into parking lights not headlights. You must seal them with sealant or they will leak. Looks great. Bright lights.

      not bad for the price

These are pretty good for the price. Little difficult to mount and get the wires out of the way to mount correctly. Not sure why they dont wire up the halos to a marker bulb plug with an adapter like they do with just the headlight bulbs. you have to wire in the halos yourself. Directions say wire to Driving lights..but I wired to the marker light to allow them to come on with just the marker lights. could use better bulbs for the low beams. over all about 4/5 stars for price.

      They're ok

They look very cool. You cannot see the halos whatsoever during the day. The light they produce isnt great but its decent. You cannot adjust the high beams.

Review from Axial Chrome Projector Headlights - Dual LED Halo (99-04 All)

      Lights

Loved the looks of these lights, but that’s all I can say. The instructions were basically useless. The direction of what wires needed hooked together were incorrect, but got that issue figured out. The big problem that no matter what I tried, they just didn’t line up. Could not get them to fit. Sadly was forced to return them.tge return process was easy My mustang is a 2000 v-6

      Great headlights

I love my new headlight. They look great even when they are off. They show nice when the parking lights are on in daylight. They are also bright at night. I am very glad I replaced my old ones. Took me a little over an hour to install. Not hard to follow instructions. I am not a mechanic.

      Bought this for my son.

My son turned 18. Wanted these lights. They turned out great. He installed them by himself. Said the first one was a little over an hour but the second one only took like ten minutes. Most difficult thing was figuring out the wiring and removing the old turn signal lamp to put into new light

      July 30, 2018

      Bang for the buck

I love them compared to stock. I had a shop install them and it took roughly around an hour wait time. Overall I love how they look, and my driving experience at night is lit. My stock lights made it hard for me to drive but with these I can see better. I may consider upgrading the light bulbs to fit the color of the other lights.
