        Sounds of thunder

The Pypes M-80's are a top notch product that sound amazing. These lightweight high quality stainless steel mufflers are well worth the price. The combined shipping weight of 2 mufflers was under 10 lbs and just one stock muffler weighs approximately 15 lbs. I am so thankful that I had chose the M-80's for my '03 Mustang Gt, they are exactly what my Pony needed

5 2004 GT - Adam Installation Time: Shop Install Installation Cost: 0-$100

        Great Sound!

Had Super 10's before this, and I enjoy the Pypes much more. At idle and low rpm's the Super 10's sounded good, but higher Rpms the sound would disappear in a way. And these M-80's sound good all through the rpm range. Cleaner sound too. Had for a couple years now and they still look brand new and sound just as good. The sound hasn't changed I would say, so the packing must be really good quality.

3 1998 Cobra - Biillll Installation Time: Afternoon

Sounds like a cherry bomb muffler you can buy from advanced auto for 30 bucks. Very loud drone on downpipes. Piped back it sounds okay but just not quite loud enough.

        5 2015 V6 - Buurs Installation Time: Shop Install Installation Cost: $100-$250

        Great Mod

Swapped my resonator out with the bullets, deleted the mufflers on my 2015 V6. Sounds mean but still a little raspy at high RPMs Would defiantly sound better on a GT. These resonators woke up my car and made it a lot more of fun to drive. Had a shop install the resonators and configure a muffler delete. Took 3/4 hours. Cost of piping for mufflers, the bullet resonators, and labor came out to around 600$

        5 2005 V6 - Buxton

        Sounds good

Bought two of the M-80 mufflers to turn my single exhaust system into a dual exhaust system, took to a shop to have the rest of exhaust system installed, sounds great on my V6 very pleased with the sound, have had the car for 4 yrs, wish I would have put them on 4 yrs ago, I do recommend these to other V6 owners.

      5 Top Rated Questions

Will this fit a stock single exhaust V6 Mustang? Or will I have to swap to a Dual Exhaust (which I don't have the money for) Just trying to make it sound louder and meaner.

      • You do not need to do a dual exhaust swap to install this and have this work.

All of the pictures I've seen have shown this muffler connected to a dual exhaust. I was wondering if it would still sound the same if it were put on an all stock 04 mustang V6?

      • Hi, This Pypes M-80 Bullet Style Muffler wont sound exactly the same on a V6 as a V8 but it will sound pretty similar.

no o/r or h pipe? i was wondering how these would sound if i just went all straight from the cats to rear axle with no h-pipe or o/r ? any advice would be great thanks.

      • I have a Pypes Exhaust using these and it has an x-pipe, no cats and it is VERY loud! I would stick with the x-pipe though since it does help the power pulses. If you keep the cats it will quiet it down some but it will still have a throaty roar. Probably as close to open exhaust as you will get.
