Will this fit a stock single exhaust V6 Mustang? Or will I have to swap to a Dual Exhaust (which I don't have the money for) Just trying to make it sound louder and meaner.

        • You do not need to do a dual exhaust swap to install this and have this work.

All of the pictures I've seen have shown this muffler connected to a dual exhaust. I was wondering if it would still sound the same if it were put on an all stock 04 mustang V6?

        • Hi, This Pypes M-80 Bullet Style Muffler wont sound exactly the same on a V6 as a V8 but it will sound pretty similar.

no o/r or h pipe? i was wondering how these would sound if i just went all straight from the cats to rear axle with no h-pipe or o/r ? any advice would be great thanks.

        • I have a Pypes Exhaust using these and it has an x-pipe, no cats and it is VERY loud! I would stick with the x-pipe though since it does help the power pulses. If you keep the cats it will quiet it down some but it will still have a throaty roar. Probably as close to open exhaust as you will get.

            Sounds of thunder

The Pypes M-80's are a top notch product that sound amazing. These lightweight high quality stainless steel mufflers are well worth the price. The combined shipping weight of 2 mufflers was under 10 lbs and just one stock muffler weighs approximately 15 lbs. I am so thankful that I had chose the M-80's for my '03 Mustang Gt, they are exactly what my Pony needed

            Great Sound!

Had Super 10's before this, and I enjoy the Pypes much more. At idle and low rpm's the Super 10's sounded good, but higher Rpms the sound would disappear in a way. And these M-80's sound good all through the rpm range. Cleaner sound too. Had for a couple years now and they still look brand new and sound just as good. The sound hasn't changed I would say, so the packing must be really good quality.

            Drone

Sounds like a cherry bomb muffler you can buy from advanced auto for 30 bucks. Very loud drone on downpipes. Piped back it sounds okay but just not quite loud enough.

            Great Mod

Swapped my resonator out with the bullets, deleted the mufflers on my 2015 V6. Sounds mean but still a little raspy at high RPMs Would defiantly sound better on a GT. These resonators woke up my car and made it a lot more of fun to drive. Had a shop install the resonators and configure a muffler delete. Took 3/4 hours. Cost of piping for mufflers, the bullet resonators, and labor came out to around 600$

            Sounds good

Bought two of the M-80 mufflers to turn my single exhaust system into a dual exhaust system, took to a shop to have the rest of exhaust system installed, sounds great on my V6 very pleased with the sound, have had the car for 4 yrs, wish I would have put them on 4 yrs ago, I do recommend these to other V6 owners.

            Loud

My Flowmaster 40s paired with my catless h-pipe sounded better. These are way louder, but not necessarily better sounding. All depends on what you like. If you plan on welding them in, you'll need reducers on both sides if you re-use the stock over-axle piping.

I’m currently running these M80s and I gotta say they are absolutely amazing. Not too loud and annoying. Perfect sound for a Mustang V8. I always get asked what exhaust am I running and I’m always proud to say Pypes M80s. Also, Pypes is AMAZING with their clients! They sent me merchandise after watching a video of my 2V with these M80s.

            No more drone

Wasnt sure what to expect with these, they are more quite inside the car then my mac dual chamber catback no more drone I can actually put the car in overdrive and get a break from the noise, outside the car they are louder than the mac catback and have a nice crackling sound to them , I had slp loudmouth before on a Camaro offroad y single slp resonator to duals and it was way louder than the pypes there is no comparison between the two as far as im concerned they're not similar at all, I have long tubes offroad x pipe and duals with 2 pypes m80 mufflers and couldn't be happier

I love the deep tone on cold starts and idling. Going through the gears it is loud but still has a quality tone. Cruising is still loud but not too loud.

Mufflers are really deep at first but definitely have gotten louder over the month I've had them. The deep sound never goes away and it pairs great with my O/R x pipe
