Will this fit a stock single exhaust V6 Mustang? Or will I have to swap to a Dual Exhaust (which I don't have the money for) Just trying to make it sound louder and meaner.

    • You do not need to do a dual exhaust swap to install this and have this work.

All of the pictures I've seen have shown this muffler connected to a dual exhaust. I was wondering if it would still sound the same if it were put on an all stock 04 mustang V6?

    • Hi, This Pypes M-80 Bullet Style Muffler wont sound exactly the same on a V6 as a V8 but it will sound pretty similar.

no o/r or h pipe? i was wondering how these would sound if i just went all straight from the cats to rear axle with no h-pipe or o/r ? any advice would be great thanks.

    • I have a Pypes Exhaust using these and it has an x-pipe, no cats and it is VERY loud! I would stick with the x-pipe though since it does help the power pulses. If you keep the cats it will quiet it down some but it will still have a throaty roar. Probably as close to open exhaust as you will get.

which way do they go? wha direction does the air flow?

    • The Pypes M-80 Center/Center Bullet Style Mufflers are not directional. They do not have a front or back.

H pipe with no cats Hey, I have a 2003 mustang gt with the factory h-pipe but with the cats removed, i was wondering how it would sound and on a scale 1-10 it would be, are these deep sounding mufflers or just loud? Thanks

    • I think they would sound very nice. I have them on my car and they are in my opinion a mix of loud and deep. The youtube videos dont really do them justice they sound way better in person. Im running mine with an offroad H pipe and 3 inch tailpipes so im sure mine is a little louder than most.

      Loud

I love the deep tone on cold starts and idling. Going through the gears it is loud but still has a quality tone. Cruising is still loud but not too loud.

      Loud but not to loud

Mufflers are really deep at first but definitely have gotten louder over the month I've had them. The deep sound never goes away and it pairs great with my O/R x pipe

      Awesome

Converted my single exhaust to a h-pipe true dual set up with 2 Pypes M-80’s and it sounds amazing. The deep rumble from inside puts a smile on my face every time I start it up. The cost of set up includes the exhaust conversion.

      Pypes M-80 Mufflers

I was running Loudmouth II’s and recently installed a Pypes o/r x-pipe and wasn’t happy with the sound so for the price of these I thought might as well give them a try and I have to say I think it sounds much better. Happy with overall value.

      tight but right

A little hard to match up with my SLP cat back system they were 2 1/5" over front and 2 1/5 in out I had to stretch the M-80 to go over but I always us S.S. band clamps. On jack stands and creeper not lot of fun. But at 76 I still do it all ! with a lot of tools. Thank you for great parts.

      Muscle bound sound!

The Pypes M80 mufflers make my restored 2004 GT convertible sound robustly muscle bound even with the smaller 4.6 V8! My wife even said, "Wow! They sound awesome!" Best Muffler in Lake Elsinore, Calif. did a beautiful job installing them and the price was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this shop if you're in the area.

      Definitely worth every penny,

It made my car go from being a v6 to fooling people into thinking I had a 5.0 and I have this on factory exhaust. Your mustang will sound amazing. This was by far the best sound profromance mod I’ve done. I had it welded in. THIS IS A HEAD TURNER Make your v6 mustang sound like what it’s suppose too

      Muffler Switch

These mufflers are a great replacement if you’re looking for a deeper and more noticeable rumble and sound to your car without breaking the bank. Love the sound and tone these mufflers put out, and I would highly recommend them for just a simple upgrade for any car. Took barely an hour for install.

Great sound, even on a V6!

I've heard this muffler used in V8 applications, but after researching chambered mufflers for the 3.7, I couldn't find a sound that I liked. I started looking at the mid muffler systems and liked what I heard, so I picked up two of these from American Muscle and had a shop weld them on in front of the axle and delete the stock mufflers. Man do they sound good! Not like a V8, but a respectable V6. Really screams when you put the peddle to the floor!
