      Description

      High Performance Upgrade. If you need a clutch for your dual purpose street and strip Mustang, the RAM Powergrip clutch balances the ability to hold up to 550 HP with superior street drivability, unlike true single purpose race clutches. A RAM Powergrip clutch will let your Pony stretch its legs on the street while still delivering the holding power you need for the strip.

      Street and Strip. If you need a clutch that will perform when the pressure's on, the RAM Powergrip Clutch will give you quick, precise engagement and fast shifts. But unlike other race-use only clutches, the Powergrip clutch balances your need for the engagement characteristics of aggressive, Stage 2 and 3 clutches with a more forgiving street-type clutch. Please note that some chatter may occur on takeoff.

      Combines 900 and 300 Series Discs. In order to provide superior holding power without sacrificing street manners, RAM Powergrip clutches use a high clamp load and a unique combination of their 900 and 300 series organic materials for the disc.

      Application. This RAM Powergrip Mustang Clutch is designed for the 1986-1995 5.0, the 1993 Cobra, and the 1996-Mid 2001 GT with the T-5 or T-45 transmission.

        Excellent clutch

        I have had 6 mustangs and everyone of them I have put a ram clutch in and never had a problem with them handling hp or torque, very reliable for street or strip. Depending on mods and power you are pushing.

        Put all new everything except cable had problems shifting into any gear put fire wall adjuster and new adjustable cable wow what a difference pedal was stiff now like butter shifts are super smooth really hooks

        Great Clutch!

        Awesome product at a fair price! Follwed break in as per given instructions and have been abusing this Clutch ever since! It's smooth and doesn't ever chatter. Holds over 400 crank hp with ease! Super happy with my purchase and Ram has yet to let me down.

        very good clutch

        I had 3 zoom clutches before this one and the ram is a 100 percent better smooth no chatter good grip no slipping at all full power shifts no problem would definitely recommend

        Awesome clutch is extremely smooth for heavy duty style.

        It looks great, installed easy (the included alignment tool was good but if you have access to an old input shaft I would use that). Have yet to drive it but pedal feel is incredibly light compared to king cobra that was in car. It honestly feels like hydro style clutch. I did replace everything at time of install though so that is part of it but I can't wait to get to drive car and try it out.

        4 1993 GT - Ewalk93 Installation Time: Afternoon

        Off the line in the blink of a eye!!

        The clutch went on great! If you do it on a weekend it would easily be done in 1 afternoon. The only thing I didn't realize when installing was that it is recommended (and kinda needed) that you use an adjustable cable along with it. My stock cable was to loose and it made the clutch disengage with less then a inch of movement so it was like driving a stick for the first time! Other than that, perfect clutch with maximum bite and boost of acceleration!!

        problems with clutch still

        clutch replaced now its not disengaging all the way and hard to go into gear...dnt now what to think...back to the mechanic again

      What is the best flywheel for this application ?

      • When installing a new clutch we recommend using a matching brand flywheel to ensure proper fitment. With the RAM Powergrip Clutch, we would recommend using the RAM billet steel or RAM billet aluminum flywheel options offered for your specific generation.
