    Street or Strip. The RAM HDX Clutch kit is designed for stock Mustangs with bolt-on mods and mild power enhancements this clutch is great for the street or strip. And if you are replacing your clutch it is also a good idea to replace or resurface your flywheel at the same time to prolong the life of your new Clutch.

    Superior Design. The RAM HDX pressure plate features increased clamp loads and 200 Series organic clutch disc. The 200 series consists of heavy duty organic facing material that greatly increases rotational strength, and an eight spring center hub for excellent shock absorption.

    Application. The RAM HDX Clutch kits are the performance upgrade for your daily driven Mustang. The HDX Mustang Clutch is designed for the 2005-2010 GT, with the TR-3650 transmission.

    It's recommended that you add an SR Performance Braided Stainless Steel Hydraulic Clutch Line during your new clutch install. Stock plastic clutch lines can fail during aggressive driving. Stainless steel clutch lines help prevent gear lockout and provide superior clutch pedal feel, even under the toughest conditions.

    Technical Note. The 2005+ Mustang uses a concentric slave cylinder instead of a conventional throwout bearing. It is recommended to install a new flywheel with this replacement clutch for the 2005+ Mustang GT's. Please view our flywheel page for 2005-2009 steel and aluminum flywheel replacements.             Awesome buy

            Got it fast delivered. I went the lazy route and had a shop install it for 350. I saw a couple of reviews stating this clutch was a little heavy, but they must’ve been sniffing some brake fluid. It feels very nice, better than stock but with the same resistance on the pedal.

            Nice replacement from stock

            HDX clutch and billet flywheel after 500 miles have been a good choice for stock replacement. I don't drive very aggressively but I'm sure this setup will take whatever I throw at it. Also installed Mcleod stainless fluid line and the pedal feels better than stock.

            Good clutch

            The clutch works great with good grab. I had to get used to the feel though my old clutch had about 160k miles on it. It isn't that much stiffer than the stock unit and is hardly noticeable after a little break in time.

            Great Clutch

            American Muscle could not have provided me with a better clutch for the price. I bought this clutch on sale for $250 when my stock clutch wore out and I could not be happier with the results. This clutch feels tough, after putting boltons on my gt the stock clutch felt weak, but this clutch grabs firm and powerful. It did not take long at all to break in and it broke in easy. If you are looking for a daily driver clutch with amazing strength and grip, this is the clutch for you.

            My new clutch

            Good decision, good clutch

            The grip was so strong that I basically had to learn how to drive a manual shift all over again. The shop turned my fly wheel and did the install and they really liked this clutch. They did say they had to put in a spacer of some sort. I've noticed a harmonic buzz when I start the car but only when it is cold. There is also a "tinny" sounding vibration when I am accelerating also when the car is cold. After it is warmed up I don't hear these unusual sounds. I've driven about 500 miles now so I'm going to take it back to the shop for more investigation. I don't think this is being caused by this clutch but then again I didn't do the work.

              One recommendation I'd like to suggest if the problem still persists, we highly recommend any aftermarket clutch install be paired with the correct flywheel (RAM clutch with RAM flywheel in your case) for proper clearance and engagement. That might help with the issues you are currently experiencing if your old flywheel was just resurfaced instead of upgraded.

            best clutch for N/A setup

            This is my second HDX. Sold the first one when I went auto & turbo, but it held up to my 6000 RPM launches at the track. I switched back to a stick so this was the best choice. Pedal feel was just like stock. I highly recommend this clutch

            Great grip, Stiff clutch action but thumbs up.

            This clutch pressure plate combination clamps with authority. It's a calf grower compare to the stock clutch. It's a understatement to say it's a little stiffer than the stock clutch. I have put a bout 300 miles of driving on it and has softened up a bit. I commute round trip 120 miles a day in traffic that can make you want to cull the herd. There is a lot of creeping, accelerating, braking and sitting so I get a calf work-out. The stock clutch is a much better choice for this kind of driving so for those folks who do this kind of driving be prepared to mash with some force. I do have a nit pick, the clutch does not like engaging smoothly in reverse, I get chatter everytime. I can't seem to find a balance even when I give it a throttle tap. On the perfromance side it grips and launches with authority (FUN).

            Ram hdx clutch

            Had to replace my clutch in my 07 gt got the ram hdx and steel flywheel. This clutch is made very good vs stock one I'm happy with it was grabing a little hard on slow take off but after 500 miles or so it smooth right out I got about 1500 miles on it now working very well .the kit comes with a shim that has to be placed behind the slave cylinder So you will have a full pedal .And thanks American muscle for great parts and fast shipping
