Bone stock exhaust I have a bone stock exhaust. I do not have the money to buy a whole catback exhaust and have it installed. So I was wondering if getting these will make enough difference in sound on a stock catback or is it a pointless buy?

    • It would not by any means be pointless, replacement of your stock mufflers is always a plus for performance. However if you do not have the equipment, you would still need to take these to a muffler shop to have them cut away the stock mufflers and replace them with these but if you check around you should be able to get these installed for no more than $100 bucks, and it will sound just as good as buying the setup that bolts from the mid-pipe back. I have the SLP setup and I love it, FYI. I will not go back to flow master after experiencing the sound these babies put out.

I have a stock 04 Mach 1 with these simply bolt on with clamps to the stock pipes?

    • The SLP Loudmouth Center/Center Shotgun Style Resonators would not be a direct bolt on replacement for stock mufflers, as the stock mufflers will have the inlet and outlet offset on different sides of the muffler case. Modification to the existing exhaust would be required to install these mufflers.

I have a 02 Mustang GT with forged internals, trickflow stage 2 cams, 24lbs injectors, ford performance i take manifold, 78mm BBK throttle, BBK cold air intake, long tube headers, true dual with flowmaster 40s series, aluminum pullies, aluminum driveshaft... i was thinking installing a x pipe with the slp... the slp will make my mustang sound louder and agressive? And the cams are still going to sound nasty?

    • The SLP Loudmouth Center/Center Shotgun Style Resonators will make your car sound louder and the cams will still sound nasty yes!

      SLP LM1

Before I bought these I was pretty against them. Honestly I had based my opinion on the Lm1 off of all the negativity people have against them. However I decided to look back into them because 1. I got a good deal on them, and 2. Because I came here and decided to read all the reviews for them. So I pulled the trigger thinking what the heck. So my setup before installing the LM1 was stock H pipe with the rear cats hollowed out, leading to a Flowmaster Super 10 catback exiting with 4” angled tips. Now don’t get me wrong, the super 10 is a fantastic choice for any mustang. However I had gotten so used to that sound that when I got the LM1 on, it blew my mind. The tone is so loud and clean. It’s a pretty deep, throaty sound that will surely draw attention. I whole heartedly admit that I was wrong for believing the negativity surrounding this product, and would recommend to anyone looking to change their exhaust up a bit. On a side note though, and this is more of a personal opinion. I think the LM1 is best paired with a catted mid-pipe.

Had the SLP Loudmouth resonators and X-Pipe installed on my 2003 GT. It went from barely a grumble to an aggressive growl. Highly recommend getting the whole SLP system.

The slp loudmouth sounds excellent on my 02 GT, they are nice a loud from outside the cab. But surprisingly quiet in fifth gear which is a big thing for me when going on long trips.

Everyone's reviews of these are spot on...these are incredibly loud lol. I have longtubes with Mac x pipe and these things scream and make people's necks snap! Sounds about 3X as loud as before haha. I hope my neighbor's don't complain. Smiles per gallon now haha

      Nasty sounding

I put these on along with an O/R X and Jesus... Going from bone stock to that the first turn onto the main road I started laughing I was so happy with it. You can literally hear this exhaust ricocheting off the buildings on either side of the street. Its really an experience. I think even with a stock setup just switching these with your mufflers would sound awesome too.

Gives the car that old school muscle sound I was looking for. The magnaflows that were on there were just too quiet for me. These will definitely grab people’s attention. Best mod I’ve done so far.

      Loud and sounds great

As their name implies they are very loud. So loud that I'm actually going to put my cat's back on to tone it down just slightly. I'm not saying this is a bad thing as they sound great just slightly too loud for my liking.
