      Ultimate Performance. If you need a clutch that can handle the "take no prisoners" type power of your built or boosted GT or Cobra but will still let your Pony stretch its legs on the street, consider a SPEC Stage 3+ Clutch. Blending performance with driveability, the Stage 3+ combines the type of compound used in the Stage 3 Clutch to deliver a clutch capable of handling up to 800 ft-lb of torque, but a full-faced disc design means there is less of the "on-off" feel associated with true race-only clutches.

      Street and Strip. The SPEC Stage 3+ Clutches are designed to be the perfect clutch for a high powered street or race car. Unlike other pure "race type" clutches, the pedal feel of the 3+ is still worthy of the strip, but not so unforgiving as a "puck style". Combining elements of a race clutch with a street clutch means a Stage 3+ will hold up to many passes on the strip while still letting you drive your Pony to and from the track.

      Premium Quality. The sprung hub, full face design of the SPEC Stage 3+ features a carbon semi-metallic friction material for unsurpassed bite and long clutch life. The Stage 3+ Clutch includes the high clamp pressure plate, the full face friction disc, a new throwout bearing and an alignment tool. Goes great with a new clutch cable and quadrant to ensure a long life for your new SPEC Clutch.

      Application. This SPEC Stage 3+ Clutch is designed for 1986 to mid 2001 Mustang GTs and 1993 to 1998 Mustang Cobras with the T-5 or T-45 transmission.

        Works great

        The Spec stage 3 clutch works well and does not slip at all. It grabs immediately with very little play. Drivability is something to get used to however as it does not slip without a lot of pedal control.

        Daily driver. Runnin about 500hp. 4.6/5.0 forged stroker, 32 valve stage 3 Cobra heads, 65lbs injectors, D1SC,intercooled, 3.73 locker, 315/35/17x10.5s !!!! Needed something to hold but driveable. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        5 2001 GT - Criceberg361 Installation Time: Full Day

        Spec stage3+

        Once broken in, this clutch has lots of bite and isnt hard to fight in city traffic. I have an 01 GT with just about every bolt on I can get, including a cam, 3.73 gears, and 100 shot of nitrous. This clutch handles the power with no problem, and is affordable. I did notice a small amount of chatter, but after a few hundred miles, it went away. You get what you pay for, and i'm very satisfied with it and would reccomend it to anyone.

        Crazy Bite

        i have an almost stock 96 mustang gt convertible and i plan on putting some big mods into it so i decided to get a high end clutch. i also paired it with the spec aluminum flywheel. this combination of clutch and flywheel is amazing! i get a good squeal in second and a chirp in third. its just bites so quick. its a little on the hard side but i dont mind :)

        Can't say enough good things about this clutch. I have no clutch chatter, it engages smoothly, and drives as if it were a stock clutch.
