Hey, guys. Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com and I'm checking out this clutch pedal extension for 1994 and up manual Mustangs. This clutch pedal extension is perfect for the owners out there that are looking for some improved ergonomics but that want something a little bit higher quality than a plastic extension.Comfortable driving is essential, and I'm sure that many of us have tried to drive a manual Mustang in an uncomfortable position since we have to move the seat so far up to get a good feel for the engagement and disengagement of the clutch. This pedal extension moves the clutch pedal a whole one-and-a-half inch closer to the driver, which means a more comfortable driving position without altering the performance of your clutch, or having your knees hitting the steering wheel. Sometimes you need to move the seat so far forward to get a good feel for the clutch functionality, but it really becomes uncomfortable.Sitting so close to the dash is uncomfortable. You're oftentimes hitting your knees and it makes it more difficult to get in and out of the car. But even if you aren't vertically challenged, this extension is a little item that can make a big difference in a daily driver, too. It allows for a better seat position for a more comfortable drive. If you're on the taller side, this can help you out, too. So you can get far enough away from the dash and steering wheel. You can see right away that the pedal extension is low key and hardly detectable. It's a CNC machined billet aluminum construction, so it's going to be durable and have a long life, too. You don't have to worry about it failing or breaking on you during hard driving either. It also has a black anodized finish, which helps it to stay camouflaged on the pedal, so it's not going to be very noticeable in the car. It works with both the stock and aftermarket pedal pads. When it comes to price, this aluminum option from SR Performance isn't that much more expensive than the ABS plastic version that's also available as an alternative. This extension costs right about $60, which is only $10 more. $60 for an item that will have a large impact on a daily driver, I'd say that isn't bad at all. Another plus here is the very simple install of the pedal extension. The pedal extension comes complete with the two stainless steel screws that you'll need, and getting this installed should take you about 15 minutes total. The most difficult part of the install will be getting the extension to fit perfectly over the cover. It is a tight fit, but that's actually a good thing. You want it to be a tight fit so that it doesn't change pedal feel, and it allows the clutch to function properly. You can always use hot soapy water to help it get in the pedal or use the heat of the sun to keep the parts malleable.Overall, this clutch pedal extension is a very easy way to improve driving comfort for anyone without any permanent modifications. Very easy to install and it's inexpensive as well, even though it's made from a high quality billet aluminum that's anodized. If you've got a manual transmission Mustang, you can check this out more online for yourself right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Aluminum Clutch Pedal Extension INSTALL
After retiring I began to purchase and restore classic muscle cars so I have some experience working with parts and tools. Purchased the Clutch Pedal Extension for my 2012 Shelby GT500. The part is well built but the machining of the item is terrible. I had read another review that stated you should install the original clutch pad on the Extension before attempting to install the Extension on the clutch pedal. The writer must have also had problems with the install. I found it extremely difficult to install the clutch pad on the Extension. It is basically too large. Tried putting the pad in hot soapy water, did not help, Used grease and everything else that was slippery. Finally got the pad on the Extension by using a small screw driver and hooked wire puller. Damaged one side of the pads rubber edge in the process. Then attempted to install the Extension back on the clutch pedal. Also did not fit. The inside of the Extension was milled too small. Had to force it on but could not line up the two screws. It is stuck on the pedal and works but is at a slight angle. This was the first item I purchased from American Muscle. Very disappointed that A/M did not test their product before selling it. Question if their other parts are better made.Helpful (0)

I had a hard time pushing the clutch pedal in for shifting on my 2011 GT 500 Evan with the seat way forward. I installed these pedal extensions and it was like magic. I have no more problems shifting and braking and have my seat in a normal position. Great parts!!!!!Helpful (0)

Now my girlfriend can drive my car!
I bought that because my girlfriend is 5'2'' and wasn't able to reach pedal without being to close to the steering and airbag. (hope not deploying) A very nice machined black aluminium piece with a snug fit. At first I tought that it was a bit expensive for an extander but finally when a received it I realise that it worth every penny. Drive with it for several month now and feel like its nothing over my clutch pedal. I also rise my gas pedal with homemade spacer because on the first days I had the impession to be to close for my clutch and to far for my gas pedal. If you're short legged or you know somebody under 5'5'' this is a no brainer and must have, simply.Helpful (0)

So, i received the sr performance billet, are you suppose to put this over your pedal or take the peddle off and then attached the billet clutch extension and then place your pedal on top? im a little confused as the customer photos seem to have the pedal on top of the extension.
With this Clutch Pedal Extension you will want to remove your clutch pedal, then install the extension, and lastly install your pedal cover over the extension.
Having some difficulties re-installing the clutch pedal cover onto the extender. Any advice?
You can soak the pedal cover in some hot water for a few minutes to help expand the rubber to make it easier to install. Just make sure the cover is dry before driving.
Having some trouble installing this on my 2004 gt. The 2 halves seem like they wont make it over the curve. I have read that using a C-Clamp is working for some. Do you guys recommened i do that?
Thank you for your question about the SR Performance Billet Aluminum Clutch Pedal Extension (94-17 Manual). I would not recommend using a C-clamp initially to remedy your installation issue. I would suggest sending photos in to firstname.lastname@example.org. From there we should be able to determine if you may have a defective pedal extension and can replace it with another if necessary.
Is there a secret/recommended way to getting the halves of the extension over the clutch pedal. I'm struggling getting mine on.
Hello, I am sorry you are having some difficulty installing the SR Performance clutch pedal extension kit. This installation should be pretty straight forward without any issues. I would recommend contacting our support team an even sending some pictures to see if they can assist you! I will put the contact link below. http://www.americanmuscle.com/contact.html
Will this fit a 2010 get premium
We cannot confirm fitment with models other than 94-20.
We have not yet test fit this combination and would be unable to verify.
The factory clutch pedal cover is installed on the clutch assembly with adhesive so it can be a bit tricky to get get off. We recommend using a heat gun to heat the cover up slightly which will break down some of the adhesive materiel underneath. Once warm to the touch, pry upwards on the pedal cover (Patience is needed) and should slowly lift away from the assembly.
The SR Performance Billet Aluminum Clutch Pedal Extension will allow fitment of most pedal covers that are designed for OEM pedals. We have not yet tested Steeda pedal covers for fitment with this extension, but it is expected to fit.
