Made for Reliable Stopping Power. Built for performance, the StopTech Sport Cross-Drilled Rotors include such features as cross-drilling with exact placement to ensure proper function with the vents and vanes. A vented cast iron blank is used to make each of these rugged 1-piece brake rotors. The inside and outside surfaces of the hats, as well as the outer edges and the internal vanes, are coated with black e-coating so that rust can’t establish a foothold there.

Hard-Hitting Design Features for a Successful Performance Rotor. The high carbon content of the StopTech Sport Cross-Drilled Rotors makes them well-suited to performance braking, since it adds to their tensile strength. A bit “bouncier” and less brittle than regular cast iron, the metal won’t crack or fracture even under the stress of intense braking. The cross-drilling improves stopping distance not only in dry, ideal conditions, but also wet, rain-soaked, or slushy situations. The curved vanes are directional for the side they're meant for (passenger or driver) and create a powerful radiating draft of cool air starting at the center and flowing out the edges. This eliminates brake fade by ensuring that the temperatures never rise to the critical level.
