    Problem solved!

Just like everyone before me who suffered the dreaded tstat housing leak (thank you Ford!), I was able to find a new one here at American Muscle. It blew competition out of the water regarding price, and it came with a bonus I was not expecting. A new 197°F thermostat was hiding in the housing saving me even more money! I wasn't sure about the durability as it seems to be polymer plastic, but since i have it installed the engine is noticeably quieter. Most importantly, no leak! If you need to replace your tstat housing just buy this one and "get er done"! You won't find a better price. The install took me longer than I wanted, but I've got 1 arm so you know it's not impossible. Just take your time and double check your connections. Get a new temp sensor and throttle body mounting gasket while you're at this. Good luck.

    Thermostat housing

I've installed one before. So it didn't take more than half an hour to put in. Just remember the steps you took to get to the housing and double check after you have installed the new one. Helpful tips are. Easiest way to get to is to remove the throttle body. The wiring clip locks my break but they'll still push on and hold. If removing the hose clamps any of the hoses rip or tear replace them. Mi'jos going to the heater actually melted to the nipple. So I scraped off the old hoes as much as I could. Went to O'Reilly's to get a replacement hose make sure you bring the old hoes the get the right inside diameter. The replacement hose in the computer is too big so have them find one with the same diameter on the inside and also bring the old thermostat housing to make sure the replacement hose fits snug on the nipple. When tightening back down remember it's plastic so just tighten enough to be snug. In one of the most important things is you don't have to drain your whole radiator out of coolant. What do get some 50-50 and a gallon of distilled water to replace. Read your owner's manual and it will tell you which 50/50 to get period it recommends organic gold Series.

    Better than expected.

Better than the OEM part. What surprised me was that it came with a thermostat as well!! Other competitors wanted 60 for housing and 45 for thermostat. Glad I stuck with American Muscle!! You rock!!

    Temporary Fix

The housing is build nice and looks just like the factory one but I only got 10,000 miles before it started leaking like the OEM housing. Spend a little more for the metal thermostat housing

No More leaks, saved lots of money!

My 2010 mustang was leaking coolant bad, due to a crack in the old thermostat housing, took it to ford and they wanted $700 for the parts and labor!! Got this for $45 and put it in myself in an hour. No more problems and I didn't go broke fixing it.

Thermostat Housing for my V6stang '07

It arrive to me a day later due to increment weather... which is understandable, but it's promising that I received it brand new and not like CJ Pony or a dealer used stuff they send out. Easy to install, but disappointing I didn't beat or make the record time of an hour, lol. Roughly, an hour and a half to install. Works like a charm and Sally (aka V6stang '07) can keep her cool. Thanks a lot AM, OORAH!!!

    Perfect fit

The thermostat housing came complete with bottom gasket which is great. The only issue I had was that it didn't come with instructions on the torque specifications. Plastic parts break and this is very crucial information.
