Description
Give Your Pony a Power Boost. Vortech V-2 Si-Trim Supercharger - Complete Kit - Polished is a bolt on kit for your Mustang GT that will give it that extra boost it needs to boast big power. The Vortech centrifugal supercharger offers 290 horsepower and 345 ft/lbs of torque gain for your 4.6L GT. These numbers are achieved on a low boost level of 7.5-8.5 psi, leaving plenty of longevity in your engine. The V-2 is capable of a maximum boost level of 26 psi and can spin a maximum speed of 55,000 rpm. This easy fit supercharger kit is much more efficient than its root-style counterparts, keeping heat off the engine and sapping less power. This blower allows you to continue use of the stock intake/OEM airbox and gives you the option of using an aftermarket cold air intake filter.
Keep it Cool. Keeping the supercharger and engine cool is priority and thanks to superior mounting points, this unit can stay cool and give your Mustang the boost it needs every time you blip the throttle. Thanks to high quality parts such as the high-flow Roto-molded ducting and stainless-steel construction, this unit is built to last. The Vortech supercharger is a CARB compliant unit. High flow fuel pump and injectors are included along with an EDM chip.
Installation. Installation of the centrifugal supercharger will take at least twelve hours. The mounting brackets, hardware, idlers and drive belt for the V-2 is included in the package. Various idler locations are available allowing a wide range of belt and pulley fitments. Tools required for the job include: a ratchet set, wrenches and various other hand tools.
Warranty. This polished supercharger is offered with an optional 3 year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty and a lifetime structural warranty.
Application. The Vortech V-2 Si-Trim Supercharger - Complete Kit - Polished fits all 1996-1998 Ford Mustang GT models.
