This BBK Ram Air Intake kit completely replaces your 1986-1993 5.0 mustangs restrictive stock air box and paper filter with a high flow BBK filter assembly for a noticeable increase in horsepower and acceleration while providing filtration of harmful power robbing dust particles. The BBK RAI has a clean straight shot to the throttle body to make more power you can feel.

    Reusable Filter. BBK designed the air filter to be reusable. So no need to go out and buy a new filter every few thousand miles. Just clean the filter, re-oil it, save money, and go!

    Ok so I have a 89 per maf this says from a 86 to 93 way would I have to do to install this on my car cause there's no plug to plug into the ram air

    if i buy the BBK Ram air intake (86-93) - 1556 do i need an adaptor kit? i have a 93 mustang gt and was wondering is i bought this ram air intake if i would need the adaptor or anything else.

    • This Ram Air Kit comes with everything needed for your 1993 5.0L. The Speed Density Adapter is only for 1986-1988 Mustangs that do not have the stock MAF used on the later 5.0 Mustangs and allows use of this kit.

      Cold Air Intake BBK

      I recently purchased the BBK Ram Air Intake and I have used BBK products on the Modifications I have almost completed on My 1985 Volvo GLE powered by a HO 5.0 Ford engine, slightly modified.       the installation was fairly easy, but the problem i had was my ignition box was interfering with its fit which was my own fault but other than that its totally worth every cent it looks sweet under the hood you can feel a slight difference when you hit the gas and it changed the sound of my car for the better i recommend this item without a doubt and love what it did to my cars look performance and sound

      Great Ram intake

      I purchase this product last week... I had somebody install it for me... Only because I'm not a handyman, and also wanted installed properly... the BBK cold air intake fit perfectly in my 92 Mustang... Love the look, and also sounds and runs differently now... Love it...       Small fitment issue but works and looks great

      This is a great product for the money. the only issue I had was the elbow hits the strut tower unless you bind it up tight when you tighten everything down, even then its tight.

      BBK Ram Air Kit

      As the product is a great design and an exceptional Bolton power increase. The fit meant was not correct and caused personal fabrication needed instead of direct replacement. Item hits shock tower and provided bracket does not reach frame rail.

      From installing this product I could tell a big difference in the throttle response and all around acceleration

      15 minute easy install

      No directions came with kit, but very easy install. Took about 15 minutes. The tube itself sits very close to the body, all you have to do is adjust/tighten the clamps properly.

      I bought this with SR 70mm throttle body and spacer and the difference is noticeable and I would do it all over again if I had to, very very happy
